Pretty telling when the batter Adell gives himself up on a check swing and the first base umpire rules it a no swing which lead to a walk.

I said the same thing to my brother in law as a major leaguer he may never get this close again. Would have had the combined no hitter but the ump ruled Sanchez’s strike 3 swing a check swing and the only hit followed by.

Yep, it's frustrating watching bad hitters. Here is the strange twist to this however. Take Volpe for example. He's been horrible and I'm now convinced he will never be a good hitter. But his numbers fall a bit above league average. So what we think is bad really isn't.

True but he was hyped too much and it gives people a feeling that he sucks. He doesn’t suck but I don’t want him on the Yankees. And what’s up with Boone finally taking him out of the starting lineup after a 3 hit game where one of them was a home run.

I'm back from vacation. I admit, it was nice not watching the Yankees implode lately.

Hopefully, these last 2 against the Orioles get them back on track.

Well , Judge isn't going to hit .400, Goldschmidt won't hit .350, Volpe/Wells are Meh, Grisham and Rice have cooled, there ya have it. Ebb and flow of a biblically long season.

I'm still praying the pitching holds up. Shocked they've been this good without Cole.

There were pretty good last year too until Cole came back. It's a shock they managed to do it two years in a row.
