Ha. I can see some cards getting back and beyond those maybe, but yeah, as a whole that was it. You're never going to see 11K print run cards from this set selling for $200 again.

I don't think there will be more than 100 complete sets. Also, I do not see the money being in the full sets but rather, in the player/artist sets.

Not many people will:

A. Have the room to display 400 cards. As art/baseball cards, I think most will want to display their cards.

B. Like all the artists within the set.

C. Like all the players within the set.

A lot of collectors would groan at a "limited edition" of 1000.

And if you want to talk money, that would be in the first 10-20 cards and a few others below 50.

Ted Williams fishing is on the cerebral cortex of the statue head.

It seems like the cards started to get better as the artists saw each others' work and got more into the project.

I'm a little nervous that things could start to swing in the other direction now.

He's doing brain surgery on himself with nano-fisherman-surgeons.

For me, displaying 400 cards would be the challenge. I can overlook B and C but not A.

Good morning everyone! Just logging in to say I hate that Ted card! Of all the things that could have been highlighted on a Williams card, the frozen head thing is near last on the list. Pretty close on the list to fishing ...

That Ted is eerie as hell. I can't stand it. As a Sox fan, it's an abomination.

Look for EXCLUSIVE Artist Giveaways!
In addition to the base card, two winners will be chosen randomly to receive a one-of-a-kind original art piece by Efdot! One winner will receive a 30" x 40", Krink marker on primed canvas. One winner will receive a Derek Jeter jersey signed by Efdot.
Topps is spicing it up.

Then after that he has to hire a few nano-cranes and nano-crane operators to jack his head into the right position. I'm speechless at the lack of artist knowledge concerning human anatomy.

The art on the canvas is what I was hoping all his cards would look like in general (because I was a fan of his work prior to this). That said, I don't think his work would have been particularly well received if he went that way by card collectors. Also, he has done some really amazing things with a couple cards in particular, which would have never happened if I had gotten my wish. Give and take. Give and take.

Children! Children! Which one of you knocked Ted's head off? Can't you see that you didn't put it back on straight?

Would love to get that canvas artwork.

I wish the jersey was the "Authentic" version without JETER on the back, but can't ask for much when it's a free giveaway!
I probably won't win either of the items anyways

I could see this Teddy being a VERY low PR, which of course will make me wish I bought it.

I just can't bring myself to own that. His kid already did enough desecration. No need to further it.

I don't know if Thiele did it on purpose or not, but the way the base/stadium/head shaped it looks a lot like mushroom cloud of an atom bomb, considering Ted's fighter pilot legacy during WWII, it's quite possible this was Thiele's intent as those bombs ended the war, and if so, really?!?! 150,000 people died (estimate) during Hiroshima and Nagasaki, including women and children (half dying on day 1, the rest through long ordeals via side effects, cancer, etc).

Maybe I'm a bit sensitive, but c'mon.

Gotta just jump on the bandwagon of saying that I really don't like this Thiele Ted either. BUT...

It's the first Thiele card I've cared about. I know his are pretty widely loved, but they've also been closer to typical "sports art" than most of the others. That's not what's excited me about the cards in this project. The Ted card isn't that, and even though I don't enjoy looking at it, it actually gets me to react. The best cards in this set have been ones that aren't for everybody.

But yeah, that doesn't mean it's for me.
