Agree though. Been nice to see some of these cards hit ebay.

It’s his swing! He’s got this funky little upper cut thing going on. He apparently developed it in between winning the ALCS MVP and Ws Game 1

I think that type of volatility re: performance is pretty normal. Guy gets hot, his prices increase by 50%-100%, then he slowly (or quickly) regresses back to where he was. Yordan has actually fallen below where he was...which I predicted somewhere in this Yordan thread. I also note it as the third observation in this thread.

Yordan is a DH. He was in S1 and all the products. There will always be too much supply to meet demand.

Yordan will never be a player on par with the Tatis’s, Acuna’s, and Soto’s of the hobby world. Best case scenario is Nelson Cruz with less steroids and more hobby love. A David Ortiz type if he can stay in Houston for the majority of his career and have some big moments in a WS win.

The detractors that were silent after the ALCS out in full force now, back to silent the minute he gets hot again and the cycle continues. So predictable.
Here's the Indy:

Nice one! I really like purple parallels on Yordan cards. Something about the Houston blue and orange works well with purple for me.

Tatis isn’t on par with Soto because he does have WS success IMO. Tatis hasn’t done anything to justify his prices Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He has no steroids in his past, I'm hoping they just worded that poorly. |

Yordan has never played OF in the cold, ever. This is why he slumped really bad against the Braves. Playing DH allows him to have full energy and concentrate. When he played OF this year, it is in the summer either warm, or hot. The last at-bat is the weakest I've seen Yordan ever, he looks exhausted, confused and looked like he didn't want to be out there. If Yuli continues his mastery of hitting, I don't think Yordan will be playing 1st anytime soon.

I can see a Big Hurt type of following for him, if he can find consistent playing time on the field. |

Correct. I just worded that poorly. Didn’t mean to accuse him of anything. I was referring to Nelson Cruz.

Yordan’s potential is somewhere in the range of David Ortiz and Carlos Delgado. Had Delgado not played in the steroid era (and assuming he was clean), he would’ve been a much bigger hobby presence—and would likely have a lot more HOF support.
The next closest comps might be Jim thome and Ryan Howard, though Yordan is a better all-around hitter than Howard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
