Barely a week and a half later, resale prices are almost back to where they were during Bryce Harper week (set #5).

Some will say they saw this coming though, and the lull may last longer than initially anticipated (hopefully not). I think as long as the resellers continue undercutting each other to unload their inventory, we won't be seeing much recovery, let alone new highs, anytime soon.
But I think as long as topps stays the course with this set (and remedy their fulfillment issues), those who [panic/panik] sold may be like those who sold amzn/goog/etc. at 5x profits way back when. Time will tell.

I think most of those who know about the set and want to collect/buy the set have been fulfilled - clearly more sellers than buyers right now.

So when will the next influx be - and will it be player driven (all-time HOFer, Trout, Vlad Jr.?), or timing driven (the National, AS Game, World Series)?

Long term view: I think the set collectors may be mostly accounted for, but the team collectors may not really jump on board until there are 5-10+ of their team. Based on the math, we should have 5+ of each team in about a year or so.

Yea, the surprising thing to me is that its taking them so long to standardize a solution that appears to work (foam on top and bottom, taped container).

The past few weeks I've been buying 10+, so I've been going through topps directly.
If/when I go back down to 5 or fewer, I'm with everyone else:
Lower prices and no headache?!

I'm picking up my Acunas tomorrow. The dread of knowing I'll have to contact them and deal with this crap tomorrow. Ordered 40 of them. Should have sucked it up and bought from Jake. Sure I saved money but not worth the hassle!

Not a five dollar card. I paid 30 for the 3. I just thought the Altuve week has been shipped a while ago. That’s why I asked because I see lots of these in hand and being sold. I was thinking maybe there was condition issues and seller was waiting for replacements.

Two separate packs of 20 Acunas from Topps and they were in excellent condition. All 9s or better. One of the two packs honestly might have had 20x 9.5s. Also ordered two of the bundles of three, and neither Acuna in those was in that great of shape. Complete opposite of how it usually is for me.

I also very much appreciated them using the Topps stickers rather than the impenetrable clear tape they used one week.

The same seller got $305 for those 3 cards on Saturday. I wonder if this is a relist from non-payment, or if he had another of the trio to sell. Be interesting to see what it finishes at, regardless. If it is another set, I wonder if he offered it to the 2nd high bidder from Saturday as a "second chance".

Are my eyes deceiving me on this Judge card? It looks like the red ink on the bottom left is gone. If so, why is that person asking $30? I would think it would be worthless but I'm kinda just getting back into collecting so maybe I'm not aware.
