I couldn't get one of the Judge PSA 10s for under $150. There will be plenty more and I doubt this price level holds.

I always assumed there was a contingency run included in their PR figure, but the "keep the cards" email is still a bit unsettling. Good thing I am collecting for the sake of the set and not so much the investment aspect.

I got one for just under $100–it ended right after another auction, so I got lucky it didn’t get bid up as well.

I don’t see it being $150 either—seems like $100 is about where it should be.

No worries

I'd really feel better about the whole thing if these were serial numbered in an unobtrusive way.

there are reprints of the 1953 series. I have seen Mantle and a few other cards reprinted. I have had people ask me why this living set, which will eventually reprint 1953 players, is different, if and when it reprints.

im sorry but i just cant trust sellers who have large TL quantities available for sale on ebay. especially if they use a stock image. a lot of these sellers are only selling the non mint and gem mint quality cards. btw received my 5 acunas from topps and 3 were perfect while two had a slight touch of white on bottom right corner. overall im satisfied. plan to keep all of them.

I strongly apose topps including players in the TL set that originally were in the 53 set. its called topps living so lets at least make sure players in this set are still LIVING.

incorrect

Living is the name of the set because it is ongoing

has nothing to do with the players in it

The only holdup for the set will be Mantle

and that will change when his family is done with Panini

Have you anything to go on there or just a sense/feeling that might be the case?
I’ve bought five cards from four sellers and four of them were perfect - like send them for grading perfect. (Am about to contact the seller of the other card to see what they say.) My experience doesn’t guarantee quality for you, but neither should your feelings put other people off. (Particularly as Topps aren’t sending 100% perfect cards either.)

I am getting tired of sellers who sell cards with stock photos and state the card is mint. I then receive garbage, and not a mint card. I am tired of sellers who sell cards with photos and no description. I’m suppose to get a loupe out and be able to precisely identify any imperfections. I will stop buying from these sellers. If I receive a card not described accurately and they give me crap, I will give them a negative. They can block me. Big deal.

They wouldn't be reprints, not even close. They'd be new paintings of those players by Seto, the current artist on the Living series. The stats on back would also probably be full career stats, as opposed the stats up through 1952, as on their original cards. I'm not against players from the original set appearing in the new one, but they need to get through a lot more modern players (and even retired players who debuted after 1953) before they get to players who already do have cards in this style.

Currently bidding on some PSA 10 Judge Living. Every single one was shill bid up to 97.50 by the same bidder who obviously never bids again to try and win the auction. They are all selling for more than $100 anyway. Just let them auction honestly.

Uh, this is awkward, but don't want that seller to get a rep...that wasn't a shill.

I was just trying to get another for my price. Reached and picked up a couple more.

Yeah, I bid on all of the ones he had ending tonight and won 2. I was hoping to get a few for under $100.

What's your eBay name? and why bid 97.50 with more than a minute left on the auction? Why not wait til last second if you genuinely want the card?

Well, I was hoping to discourage whoever I was competing against to move onto one of the other listings. I don't snipe and I don't wait to the last second to put in my highest bid. Just not how I roll with auctions.

I didn't see any that sold for less than $100. Are you saying you won 2 auctions with that $97.50 bid?

No, I said I was hoping to pick up more for around $100 and I reached for 2 (over $100).

Well it all seems a bit sketchy to me but if you say so on a public forum then I'll take your word for it and also apologize for accusing you of what looked like blatant shill bidding. Congrats on winning 2 of them.

Well, believe what you want, but I didn't want the seller to be falsely accused.

I'll be happy to show a pic of the three when they get here (I won another from that seller on Friday).
