So is a 7 inning no hitter viewed the same as a 9? I’ve been thinking for awhile now that this new 7 inning thing stinks especially for a pitcher in a no hitter.

* of course, imagine the number of 7inning no hitters that there has been. I’m a life long Giants fan and I love MadBum even on the DBacks, but it is what it is.

FWIW this “Strikeout” is yet another reason why these clown ‘umpires’ need less influence on this game.
It wasn’t close. And nothing is consistent.
But this one was particularly bad.
Let’s have more fat guys in masks that can’t actually get down far enough to see pitches ‘accurately’ make influential decisions in games!

HBP seems to always be followed up with multiple pick off attempts, drives me absolutely crazy.

If you get HPB you should be able to bring the bat with you to first. If they throw over you get one shot to knock out the pitcher.
