I may finally be at the end of my top tier Shohei rookie auto journey. At least without wading into the upper 5 to 6-figure territory, which I won't be doing anytime soon. Will see if I can close the deal. If I can, I'll rest like Thanos for a while. Lol

Super cool when you make an offer on eBay and the seller doubles the price.

Some pretty wild cards, some in bulk... And they also share what they sold them for...

It would just be an Ohtani card then in which case it would drag it down a bunch in the present market. Funny enough, Ohtani was the guy dragging it down 5 or 6 years ago, so it's a wash. Say what you want about Trout but he was the guy for a decade and now it's Ohtani's turn. I think it's great you have 2 easy first ballot HOF'ers on a bunch of cards together. I know theirs a bunch of Trout haters on the board but he seems like a decent enough guy, signs for kids at games, still a great ball player when healthy and he's a collector to boot. I go out of my way to get Ohtani/Trout combo cards so personally it doesn't drag the price down for me in my eyes.

Not parting with both the Curry and LeBron...possibly 1, but also possibly neither. I may just pony up the rest of the cash myself and keep them all (including the Indy).

I scanned and posted all my blacks in February and havent picked any up since. Working on a Camo group shot but just been slammed with other things. I have a staycation coming up next week and plan to scan a bunch of the backlog

Nothing better as a seller than when some lowballer comes in and reminds/informs you that you haven't updated your pricing with current market moves. And then they instantly regret it.

What is a low ball offer? I sometimes find it strange when people sell BIN with best offer. You offer 80% of asking price and it gets auto rejected. You then offer 90% of asking price and it gets auto rejected. At this point even if I am willing to pay 100% of asking price I won't. Don't post a BIN with best offer...if you don't intend to actually take any reasonable offers.

2026 S1 arrives that puts me at 17 total
(with extras) Nice!

i have extra 2023 S2s but do not trust
the mailsystem at all, so if you are going
to the national we can trade!

I've sold 2 of the 3 BBM cards I owned (money going to my big Ohtani fund, 2.5x and 5x'd my money on those), but I won't be surprised if his BBM cards spike again if Ohtani powers Japan to a WBC title. Then again, if his BBM cards are going up, that means all his other cards are also going up, so I won't be too sad if I had to sacrifice my BBM's if I'm the new owner of a sweet top notch rookie auto.

That's cool. I list things all the time that I'm not interested in selling unless I get an offer I can't refuse.

It's just curious that you're upset that the seller revised their price to or above market, but you're not at all concerned with offering a price below market. Just because you regret your offer doesn't mean the seller is "negotiating in bad faith".

17 is amazing! I've bought a few over the years right after you've posted so some of mine are your fault. ha

I've never gone to the National, but definitely thinking about going this year so I can drop off some bigger cards at PSA. I also don't trust the mail system anymore so I'm down to trade in person. I'll send you a PM soon and see what we can work out for the 2023.

Nothing wrong with a low ball offer. I get them all the time and I make them too.

If someone accepts my lowball I'm happier than a tick on a fat dog. If someone declines my lowball or gets offended, I dont care. We're all just usernames in a cloud.
