Plus, that gives you a larger stash to rip when you get the itch and more options.

Managed to cart a mega box at like 7am today and get the order through with the aid of a chrome “AutoFill” extension to fill my info...30 seconds of elation ended abruptly by a cancellation email from target before I even got a confirmation email

Thats one way to look at it, but my hope is that they got into the hands of a collector like myself. I know that is probably less likely now than before, but I know the struggle of trying to find product to open and not seeing anything for months on end because the shelves clear out within an hour. I can live with trying to do the right thing by giving another collector the chance.

The extreme craziness started with Mosaic.

The Silver Flux is the nicest i've seen. Pulled a pink prizm which looked good. I agree the parallel's would be a tier above on those. |

Yeah I was able to get Prizm twice. Makes zero sense. Never saw Mosaic or anything else. There’s still a mosaic tray at one Walmart and I just giggle.

In my area it started with Optic. That’s when EVERYTHING got cleared, including all the base Hoops and Donruss. In between the first and second wave of Optic, it was easy to find some Donruss fat packs or blasters, but after that second wave it was a wasteland. Before Mosaic was released, all the basketball had already been gone for a month or two. Now it’s pretty much hopeless. I am interested to see what happens with 2020-21 Hoops when that comes out. I am hoping flippers clear the shelves and get stuck holding product they can’t sell. Maybe that will help cool things off for a little while.

I found Optic one time, and I have not seen a single pack of basketball anywhere since February.

I got lucky with Mosaic, I actually hit it pretty consistantly. Optic, never a thing, not even with the restock that happened. But it's definitely getting harder and harder and Chronicles is the first time I've actually experienced people waiting for the rep.

The retail gathering machine has become finely tuned now. There is a much greater level of coordination from new sportscard businesses established in 2020! |

Guys its only going to get worse. You think the hobby is booming. The hobby is still mostly overlooked by the general public.
Wait til the masses see why there are 12 peeps waiting in a isle next to the checkouts. Wait til they hear how much money can be made on the secondary market. The masses may not give a stuff about cards or sport for that matter but one thing people love and also need to survive is money and I cant think of many easier legal ways to make quick money than flipping this stuff if you are actually lucky enough to find it in the wild. Still even if you have to go to 5-10 stores to find it its a flippers dream. Still enough money to be made to pay for your time. So get use to it peeps. Im not saying it is a great thing and to deal with it. All im saying is its gonna get worse. There will be fights in store like black friday, shady reps, peeps working in teams, heck even as stated above peeps putting on a walmart vest and going out back to grab the stash. Spend $500 on retail flip $1500. $1000 profit. Most people dont even make anywhere close to that in a 40hrs working week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just ran into excel rep stocking target. No Chrome or Chronicles, said there’s been 15-20 people waiting for her at every store. It’s a second job for her as Covid has shut her small business down. She then stated it was her first and likely last shift. I don’t know if the company itself is a wreck, but I’m sure the flippers have an effect especially tight quarters of an aisle with 20 people clamoring for the same thing. She had no idea what she was walking into. I feel bad for her.

The Walmart vest story sounds a bit like BS. Even if you were to find a random vest lying around how the heck would you know exactly where to look for cards in a huge stockroom you have no familiarity with. Not to mention doing all of this without anyone noticing that somebody they've never seen before is rummaging through boxes
