I believe the rep when they said they made more of these boxes to accommodate people buying them... the box states one refractor per box, whose to say like some boxes that has been broken you’re just getting one refractor and that’s it.....

If we’re getting all these orders than they absolutely made more boxes than expected..

Bro your so off... they have had so many issues with getting products out on time because of issues with printing delays. You think they are just gonna fast track a ton of more boxes with a bunch more releases coming out like Topps Chrome... no.

Agreed, they also would have had to pull the extra refractors out of the other boxes and repack them into the new boxes at lesser odds. This did not happen.

The quote on the box of one refractor per box is nothing more than a throwback to the original 1995 Finest packaging. It isn't what's actually in the box. You have to look at the pack odds for that. And they would have to completely change the pack odds to only end up with one total parallel per box (they did, however, make the base refractor odds 1:18, or one per box, also as a throwback).

That's some shady 'crap' and I don't believe even a company like Topps would stoop that low.

That completely tarnishes the integrity of not only this product but any product in the future that allows it (i.e. one unnumbered parallel). Without a numbered guarantee, they could essentially turn any product into a PoD product. Over time, people would become scared to pull the trigger on would-be popular products.

Regardless, I have to agree with others in that there's no way Topps was able to pivot and print more boxes and ship them out in a couple weeks time with TC right around the corner.

I only received 1 parallel and called to check and was told I received what was guaranteed.

Correct. The base refractor is 1:18. All other parallels are longer odds than that. So they are all not guaranteed to be one per box (other than the base refractor). But given how many parallels there are, they tend to fall several per box. You just got really unlucky that you didn't get one of the others.

Correct, I called it a parallel as thats what Topps Customer Service called it and I didn't want to argue. Only received an Insert not even a basic refractor. It was a Flame Thrower card BTW.

I've noticed that some player's spots have gone up consdierably because the belief that some of the autos are backloaded.

If you look at mult-box player breaks, Bryce Harper's spot has gone up considerably because almost none of his autos have popped up so far. The assumption is that the boxes shipping now must have his allocation of autos. There are a couple players like this.

To me, this is risky because it would not be the first time that Topps included a card on a checklist that never made it into the set.

EDIT to clarify - this is for Finest Flashbacks. I just thought it was interesting to note the potential collation issues.

Didn't Bryce only sign for the Power Kings insert? But yes, I have noticed a few of the names are not popping up much, yet.

I think he only has insert autos. There was a in-depth thread on twitter comparing a few different (I think they were either 40 or 20 box) breaks and noting how much the prices changed for a handful of the guys who are supposed to have autos.

Your box had no hits therefore should fill out a missing hit form, you should at least get 1 random refractor, maybe topps is nice and gives you something serial #'d...

A Member here claims he complained/filled out a missing hit form and got a sealed box of GPK sapphire, (now worth over $1k) so you never know

People who answer phones for a living are paid to shut you up, and often are full of crap (will tell you whatever to get you off the line per their directive)

Yes you are absolutely correct but after the way I was treated with the Chet Holmgren incident "12 boxes no autos and short parallels "I didn't have the energy for a refractor battle but should submit a missing hit form.
