I wouldn't be surprised if the cavs win the finals

I wouldn't be surprised if the cavs get eliminated in the 2nd round

that is how the playoffs work. there is duality. embrace it.

Sure, but a double digit net rating is legit no matter who you are playing.

Podz has to be the team's 4th, 5th best player? I don't trust him, Moody or Hield that much but even if they are just average, why can't this team be a contender with everything else they have?

I just don't see it. There is OKC, LAL, and DEN. Everyone else is lumped together in the West with really no shot. Best cast scenario for GS is getting matched up with Houston so they have a shot of getting out of the 1st round.

What has LA and Denver done in the last month that is so impressive to put them ahead of GS?

GS is way closer to LA and Denver at the moment than they are to OKC.

For LA, are we counting the past 2 weeks Lebron has been hurt? Before his injury they were rolling. Won 10 straight vs teams above .500, have had one of the top defenses in the league the past 30 games.

Denver is closer to GS than OKC or LAL, but I'd still definitely take Denver over them based on the Jokic matchup, and assuming playoff Murray shows up.

GS's top 2 just aren't at the same level as the 3 teams clearly ahead of them, and their depth isn't impressive enough to make up for it.

GS is old. The new era Icey Hot crew. It ain't neuroscience.

Their big 3 are all in their mid to late 30's. In a 7 game series where physicality is highlighted, this is an aspect that can't be ignored. You can't simply project based on name brand recognition. Yeah Fossil is ancient, but he's playing more like he's in his mid 20's this year, and there's no reason to believe that trend will suddenly halt anytime soon. Especially now that the Fakers have 2 guys that can manage offensive facilitation and allow him to play more off-ball. The rest of the Warriors are complete wildcards. Buddy and Podz are wildly inconsistent, and everyone's still waiting for Kuminga to emerge as their next star. But right now all we have are occasional fragments.

They better pray to the honorable Amir Khan that Steph's penile tube holds up. Cuz this roster is the Exxon Valdez without him.

Ninja, he literally got injured tried to keep it up on both sides off the floor.

The thing with the Lakers is, a big part of their run was because of their intensity. Can they keep it up with 40 year LeBron and Luka playing 4 games in a week?

Also, I can't trust the young Warriors but Jaxson Hayes, DFS and Vanderbilt are fine?

Giddey 2 steals from a quad double. Wow.

Denver in Houston could be an interesting game.

The Clips have a chance to make a statement tonight and really build momentum. Big home game for them.

The CAVS can't lose in Utah. They gotta get back on track.

Denver has already ruled out Jokic. Kinda takes the excitement out of that one.

Goes back to LA and gets a career high with 17.

I swear, sometimes reality beats any joke.

What does it mean when an NBA announcer says, in the course of a game, that team came out juiced after half time?

I'm assuming this just a figure of speech.

Didn’t watch the game today, but saw that the Cavs finally won and Mitchell’s shooting slump continues, especially from beyond the arc. He’s usually a beast in the playoffs, but he’s definitely not trending in the right direction.

Pretty nice game shaping up between Clips and OKC. I guess Clips really earnest about getting to 6th or better and avoiding Thunder and Rockets in first round.

Kawhi actually reminds me of Nesmith. He's been taking some tips? Hartenstein like a fully grown masked Green Hornet sidekick. Didn't realize what an integral part of the OKC attack Caruso was.

Looking for that second (maybe he's on the sidelines with the chains).

Whoah. Clutch Simmons?

Like I said. Clips would be a legitimately scary contender if they could somehow finesse Gollum into allowing them to host every playoff game in Staples.

He's played 59 games this year. Pretty much on par with, or slightly above most other megastars in the league. Him tweaking something mid march doesn't exactly sound like a death sentence to me. Lest we forget Curry just had his vas deferens detached...he ain't exactly Cal Ripken, either.

Look. I've been off the Fakers train since the trade because my soul will not allow me to mingle with the influx of bandwagoners after years of textual persecution.

But I'm a realist. Bron + Lulu + Reaves = lightyears better than any potential combo the Warriors can roll out in 2025. You're talking 2 all-nba talents + a melanin deprived JDubb. The rest are simply bonus filler. It ain't even close.

Even with Joker out the Rockets Nuggets game was still good. Murray needed a big game.

With Denver you have Gordon, Porter Jr and Murray who are all capable of having big games. However, they all have games where they are a complete MIA.

What a terrible possession for LA draining the clock then having Kawhi force a 20 footer over the double team. This is why Billy Crystal can't have nice things.

I really wish Harden wasn't a shell of himself offensively. The Clips would actually be a dangerous team if so.

You'd think for a guy that has shot as much as James Harden has that he wouldn't forget how to shoot lol
