Just made the oddest/coolest addition to my running memorabilia/auto collection. Galen Rupp's used water bottle from the 30K mark at this year's Chicago Marathon. That baby is wrapped in duct tape . Oddly enough Mo Farah's bottle from the same aid station is available (for an asinine price), but his is all fancy and inscribed. Galen's still has the price tag from Nike on the bottom and wrapped his in duct tape.

There's not much available "game used" style in pro running, so I take what I can get

That’s a bummer. You had such an enjoyable trip this year, would’ve been even better next year with the prep/experience under your belt.

How did everyone do with their 2018 running goals? I’ve seen a lot of great race stories this year and look forward to seeing everyone crush it in 2019! I completed my goal of 800 miles on the year today and finished my first 25k in May. For 2019 I’m hoping to get 900 miles and crush my 25k And half marathon PRs.

I was happy to get back to my times from 2017 after the Bactria infection kicked my azz.
Went from 32:32 to 25:42.

Looking at getting back into running after a major fail in my 1st marathon in 2018.

I've always ran with my phone in my hand and ear pieces that have a cord attached to the phone. Lolking to get away from that, any recommendations? Any good wireless earpieces or biceps bands to hold the phone or anything else that holds your phone?

I had a bicep band for a while but got tired of adjusting it all the time so I switched to a running belt that stretches to fit phone, keys and gu. It fits nicely under my gear so you don’t even see it’s there. As for headphones, I’m cheap and know they will get used a ton so I get cheap Bluetooth ones. It’s nice to be able to leave one ear open and tuck the headphone down my shirt if I’m in a busy area to listen for bikers on the trails or cars on the road.

Just signed up for the Detroit to Canada - Free Press half marathon!

I did pretty good with my 2018 goals. I ran 1,673 miles and have 2 remaining Kentucky counties to run in which I thought I wouldn't do that for years. Got my half time down to around 1:40s which was previously 1:50s. I will complete all of my counties by this fall hopefully. Not sure if I will do a marathon this year but who knows.

Went running the last three days, was a little sore yesterday. Think I over did it on Mon.
Could probably go again today but that might be pushing it. I'm at a new location and the route goes along the Saw Mill River Parkway not sure how far up it goes.

I'm on the fence of pulling the trigger on my first full marathon in October. Doing my second half at the end of April, and I already feel like I'm in the best shape of my life.

Anyone else watch the Millrose Games last night and see Kemoy Cambell collapse and go into cardiac arrest? Thankfully they revived him but he's still in a coma

Was right there when it happened...scary couple of minutes. Kemoy is a really good dude, hoping everything turns out ok for him.

I pulled the trigger and signed up for the Columbus marathon, also in October. Have my second half coming up in about two months.
