Yep...That's exactly what I'm saying...

I used to be very critical of Giannis, and my reasoning for that was that he tended to disappear in the 4th quarter. This was maybe 3 years ago, right before his MVP season.

That sure didn't happen tonight. He imposed his will and did everything right.

He just is not a good free throw shooter.

Here was the Barton alone in the paint play... didn't even realize that was Fox, he's a blur. Still, how does Barton not have the wherewithal to look around? It's like, if you think you're that open, take a peek to be sure you are, or take the foul if necessary as you still get points.

Jazz looked amazing tonight. All around team effort on the box score. Barely needed Mitchell to do anything tonight with a quiet 20 and 5. He’s looked good running the offense. Look forward to seeing more.

Blazers preseason hype after a slew of mid-tier/ex-desirable journeymen is a fascinating phenomenon. Seemingly every year.

The fact that Bark publicly laid 100 racks on them making the Finals next Summer is icing on the insufferable cake.

Dame will go on his patented 50ppg tear at an undisclosed period following the all-star break and everyone will be back on the train....until they fall on their face...again.

Exactly what I was thinking watching them. Why they didn't re-sign Baynes has me baffled.

I feel you. Lilly was uncharacteristically off tonight. I think they clearly got better defensively, but the crew of journeymen additions is nothing new.

If Nurk can make it the entire regular season in one piece, I'd give them a fighting chance to reach the WCF. And by fighting chance, I mean like 5-10%. Way too many talented squads to contend with.

Utah was one of, if not the only team in league that had basically no roster changes from the season before, other than whatever rookies they brought in

its not going to be all that surprising to me if they start out really really well, where people are gonna go "omg this team might challenge the LA teams for best in West"

and then when its all said and done they are where they always are, abouts 4th or 5th in conference

zero roster turnover plus the shoot the 3 ball as well as if not better than anyone in league, they will dominate a lot of teams early

Indiana Pacers had basically 0 roster changes as well, I figure they'll have a strong regular season too.

How did Conley look? I thought he was going to be a great addition for them last season but he never really got going.

So what do we know for sure after 1 game from each team this year:

-LeBron, Giannis, and Luka are all out of the MVP race
-Jokic will average a triple double, but it won't matter as his team loses every game this year
-The Durant/Kyrie experiment 100% worked and there are no issues, no will there ever be
-The Hawnks probably won't lose this season
