The problem is if you re-sign Jrue you're in salary cap purgatory. He's going to want a max. I don't know how they'll get the depth needed to fill a complete team.

I would have thought Jrue would add to their defensive prowess from last year, but as it stands right now, they're not even a top 10 ranked unit.

53 points on 48% shooting on the half isnt that bad, but theyre having to work for it. its tough to match scoring with the nets when youre missing your second and third best 2 way players. ad and schroeder are very important on both sides of the floor for the lakers. they could be missing 2 starters like kcp and gasol and be just fine.

Disappointing for Dame considering how far he outpaced Luka in player and media voting, but fan vote counted 50% as it is a showcase for the fans after all. Players spoke loudly though.

You couldn’t go wrong with any of the top 3 guys, but I’d hate to be Washington/Westbrook with the nuke Dame’s gonna drop on them Saturday night lol.

yeah, it was competitive when lebron has been on the floor. everytime he goes to the bench its a 10 point run.

I was never a big harden fan, but this guy should be in the MVP convo. No one else is clearly running away with it.

If Lebron is as good at recruiting as people say he is, then he will get Drummond to the Lakers when he gets bought out. Lakers need a rebounder and an inside presence. Tonight they got out rebounded by the Nets... that cannot happen.

They also need to put Gasol in a retirement home, and find someone who knows how to shoot 3s. Maybe they can borrow an injured Klay Thompson and just have him stand in the corner on one leg.

They're still the best defense in the league when healthy.

They need 3&D wings. Matthews is shot and KCP has taken a step back.

Oh I know, but at least last year they were able to consistently out rebound the other team. When you are getting out rebounded by the Brooklyn Nets, you know there is a problem somewhere.

Either way, the Front office/Bron is going to have to pull of a miracle in the trade or free agent market.

Exactly. They haven't played anyome good for a while and BKN aren't a great match up for.them, especially without AD.

Gasol has been really good the last 10 games and is only needed for 10 to 15 mins when AD is healthy. He played 19 tonight.

This typical of LeBron though, he knows he'll most likely see them in the Finals so he wants to get a look at them playing well.

Nothing new here.

Just want to put this out there as a reality check:

Trae finished 11th in the Eastern Conference Backcourt among Player votes.

6th among fans, 6th among media.

This isn't to bash on him.. it's just to show the discrepancy between card collecting reality and NBA reality.
