Does the auto on the 2nd one hurt the original value or increase it?

Increases it. It's Pop 2 and I paid a 125% premium to the Base XRC PSA 10 price.

Seems odd that adding an IP auto makes it go up. Feel like that ruins the card a bit for me. But the Mahomes market is crazy.

For about 50 years it did hurt the value. Guessing that changed with the influx of 2020 gamblers.

He has 3 Super Bowl MVPs in his first 6 seasons. Why would his cards drop if the Chiefs don't win the SB this year? You do realize that no QB has ever won 3 SB/MVPs in a row don't you? Did Tom Brady's card values crash when he went 10 years between win #3 and win #4?

Brady prices were very affordable until about 2018, so many of his cards were definitely attainable.

Generally I loathe IP autos on cars as they almost all look out of place. Not sure what it is about the XRC, but it looks great with the auto.

I wanted to turn to the experts for advice. I am in the market to purchase a big football card and was wondering if Mahomes would be the player to get? Prizm 10's are expensive, and this would likely be the budget for the year, but if I went Mahomes would the prizm 10 be the card to get? Thank you all in advance for any suggestions or advice.

I love recollection autograph cards.

Recollection autos are equal in terms of authenticity to any pack other pack pulled auto. Not really secondary.
