Go in about once a week with $20

Been buying one Basketball Prizm and one Topps Update.

Got a pink Tyler O'Neil but otherwise skunked today. Basketball is a waste of time.

Last week was much better. A Pink Acuna and some better rookies. The week before that was a Robles base auto to go with the dozen already purchased hahaha

There is value in the packs for sure. Best retail product since Ohtani.

The complete set prices are just stupid. Buy the entire set for $20 with free shipping. The Soto goes for $15 itself. 2018 has been the year of the worthless set especially for HHN and TCU. I have not sold many sets because of this. I just can't let a set go for that amount. I believe set prices will rise but just don't get how people can sell so low especially when it takes at least 4-5 boxes to complete 1 set.

If Soto goes for 15, I'd buy the set everytime because you never know who will be the next Voit or Chapman

While 1 or 2 may have sold at $15, $10 is the average price from my research.

From my pulls I have hit 11 Soto #HMT55. One pink rookie debut. Sold some of the acunas but nothing else really. Have pulled a Torres true rc gold. Sweet card without the sticker auto. Also hit a gold Andrew McCutchen Gold Auto.

These last few post must have spurred some interest.

Sold my last few sets a bit cheap, but they sold and I can always use the cash.

I get the logic, but leaving meat on the bone moves product and spurs sales.

That said, I have almost a dozen Soto in both base and pink to send out for grading.... amongst all the others.

I really don't get the set prices, especially since Soto, Acuna, and Ohtani can make up roughly the $20 alone. The collation is awful for this product to be honest, you could wind up with a stack of the same cards from 6 boxes and still no set.

I'll just sit on my sets I have, maybe work on completing a couple more and some more master sets.

I'm also debating if I want to sell my pink refractors, or work on getting the set. I have 55, but still need mostly all the big ones so I'm not sure.

Pink sets are going for $100. If that factors into your thinking - whether as a potential buyer or seller.

Pinks were solid; Soto Rookie Debut, 4 Gleybers, Trout, Robles, Buehler, Albies true RC and ASGs, etc.

Just very strange because I've previously opened batches of 10-20 hangers and always hit 1-2 #'d refractors and/or autos per break

The fact that you found 41 Targets in one shot at a Target, after it’s been sold out for weeks most places seems fishy. The fact that you hit zero autos or refractors in such a large sample size all but convinces me those packs were searched. Someone probably bought up all the stock at numerous Targets, went home and weighed them, and returned the packs with no hits all at once.

To put it into perspective, I opened a little over 20 hangers and hit two Xfractor autos, a red refractor, and a base refractor. I obviously did well with the odds, but I simply cannot fathom a 41 consecutive hanger pack break, all supposedly from the same batch from the distributor, that does not yield a single refractor or auto...
