Here's a wierd one. I, the buyer, had an item show delivered a couple of days ago that showed and was already delivered over a month ago. Same tracking #.

That same day I had a GA package show delivered that was purchased in early Feb and refunded in late Feb as an INR. It did not actually show up.

I have an interesting scenario.

I sold a card on 4/2 that was shipped out on 4/3. There's origin processing (4/3) and destination processing (4/6) scans, as well as an out for delivery scan on 4/7.

The buyer messaged me on 4/11, "Mm somehow the wrong address was given.....I would say it'll get kicked back to you...it's lost in transit right now"

I responded, "Ok I will let you know if/when it makes its way back to me. Thank you for the heads up."

The buyer responded, "Sure will...thanks"

Now this morning (4/15), the buyer opened an INR case with a note "lost in transit."

It's a $4.99 + ship card, so I'm just apt to refund, block, and submit my PIP claim, but it was ultimately the buyer's fault for not adding their correct address.

Unfortunately, there's the out for delivery scan, but there's no delivered scan. I'm assuming the address provided doesn't actually exist, or it was a previous address.

Thoughts?

It's their fault as you said and I would maybe do a little address investigating too. Also did they tell you the correct address?

They didn't tell me the correct address. I don't think that would matter, as I wouldn't ship to that address anyway, unless they updated it on eBay.

I may just wait until the day before eBay automatically escalates the case to refund and block, unless it winds up showing delivered (which I doubt at this point). I should get my PIP payment for it.

Sounds like someone taking advantage because I find it odd that they would tell you they didn't update their address and not provide a new address and auto assume it would be RTS.

It's for sure odd.

I just checked their feedback and they only have a feedback score of 28.

However, they only have one feedback left for others, and it's of course negative "Never received had to get refund"

I'm not worried about this clown leaving me a negative as I'll have it removed, but I'm going to make him wait for his refund out of principle.

You can file a PIP claim on it - technically the buyer should just eat it for their mistake but they obviously think you should be on the hook. If you really wanted to push it, get in touch with eBay and they will likely close the case with no cost to you but it would take just as much time to do that as just file the PIP.

I don't know if it's even possible to do, but if you do refund, I would try to refund minus the shipping costs you paid. You know you won't get that back from the PIP claim, no reason for you to be out any funds due to a buyers error.

Here's one getting blocked for sure. Buyer opens INR on the first possible day, then leaves a negative before the window to refund has even expired. I'll refund tonight, assuming it doesn't show delivered. My question is, how do I get the negative removed?

Here's another fun one. Buyer claims I sent the wrong card and complained about condition (so we know the true issue). In this case, it is not poissible for me to have sent the wrong card because the picture is very clearly a refractor I haven't had base in six months. We'll see how this one gets there, but I'm sure the end destination is Blocksville.

Looking at the last 2 NEGs I am confused the one guy said you had marked VG and the other just seems to be lost. Some people you just cannot help. Please give me their IDs so I can block losers like them.

Refund the buyer, wait until you get the refund email, then Seller Help > Case in my Favor

I didn't bother with the condition one because they never contacted me, never asked for a refund or anything. I figure a neg is worth $20. I didn't even block them.

The one that is lost was filed at first opportunity with the neg left before the refund window has even closed. Username: tjm_132305. They will be blocked as soon as I refund.

Here's a new one for me. I got a return request for a $10 ESE order. This one actually got scanned all the way through and shows as delivered. Buyer requested a return for Item Not As Described - Missing Parts or Pieces. Their message says "This item hasn’t arrived at all. It says arrived on tracking, but didn’t arrive." The picture attached is of their mailbox.

I only have 2 options. 1 - Accept return and purchase ebay return label. 2 - Offer a full or partial refund.

No option to add tracking info. Do I need to contact ebay on this one?

What date does tracking show delivered? It's a common problem for an ESE shipment to show "delivered", but not actually show up for another day or two, sometimes even longer.

To add to the other reply, I would contact the buyer and ask them to give it a few days. Then ask them to cancel the return and open an INR. If they do both of those things, then just refund in a few days and file the PIP claim. If they don't, for $10 I'd proabbly just refund and block.

I've been through this - Insurer will take a picture of the Return just like they do INR; Just refund them and submit a claim.

The insurers are pretty sensible; they even take messages FROM seller to buyer in some scenarios (I have had an RTS in a body bag exactly twice since ESUS has started, got paid on my claims for both of those by submitting my message TO the buyers)

I am currently in a run of buyers opening on first possible day. I think it's four in the last two weeks. The most recent is a card purchased and shipped on the 10th, INR opened today, the 18th. Ridiculous. Even if I wait it out it will be too soon to file. FWIW, the reason my INR as a seller is so much higher than mine as a buyer is because I wait.

Yeah Ebay needs to fix this. They shouldn't allow any INR cases for ESE shipping until 30 days have elapsed since ship date. There should be a policy that says buying ESE shipped cards that shipping can take 30 days to arrive.

Sadly, I think many buyers are taking advantage of the delays and trying to get a free card.

Add ger_4946 to your block lists. Pretty sure they are a previously banned user and now abusing ESE scans on sellers.

olivgruj

This buyer purchased a lot from me to be shipped via ESE on 4/30.

I printed a label and shipped the cards on 5/1 (within my 1 day handling).

The first "In Transit" scan didn't occur until 5/6 at my local sorting facility/hub. There was also an "Origin Processing" scan at this same location on 5/8.

There was a "Destination Processing" scan on 5/10 at the buyer's local sorting facility/hub, then an "Out for Delivery" scan around 4 hours later.

The buyer decided to open an INR claim on 5/11 (Sunday night at 10:40 PM) asking for a refund because "Order is very late. I am requesting refund."

Less than 2 weeks door to door and "item is very late."

There was another "Out for Delivery" scan earlier today and finally a "Delivered" scan this afternoon, so the case will close in my favor.

Do what you wish with this information.

Hi Everyone!

Ebay has been going—how many would you do at .1, .2, and .3 for your cards? I have mostly been 4 for .1, 8 for .2, and 12 for .3. Would you agree or change it a little more? You have to keep in mind that when .3 they can't go too high.
