Still haven't seen anything to show me he's not the most skilled QB in the league and still the sort of QB who could can (with a healthy line) throw 5 TDs and 500 yards basically any given game. The prices that determine the market (NT RPAs, Prizm 10s and graded Contenders) haven't moved off their peaks and until people start panic selling those I'm still holding tight

Don't acknowledge him. I was already told to ignore him. Last week his stance was that the prices had to come down because they were too high. Now it's because of the losses. Not worth the effort.

This is his second year and he is doing great. I will be buying more if the prices dip. Trout card prices dropped in 2012 and those who bought during the dip and held made a wise decision. Trout's 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospect Gold Refractor Auto BGS 9.5 sold for $850 in 2012 and now they sell for close to $100K. Mahomes has a long way to go and I understand it is risky but I like the reward potential.

You are also not accounting for more new people interested in picking up Patrick Mahomes cards during this season. He was the MVP last year and hence more people outside of football collectors are interested in him...heck I collect mainly basketball and took a dab at buying some of his RCs...

Well, in case anyone needed proof that you don't know what the hell you're talking about, there it is. Mahomes prices shockingly held steady after the loss (I was anticipating a big dip and chance to buy) and then increased over the summer. If you're going to try to FUD up the thread, maybe stick to the facts.

Could you please tell us who you spoke with that said super bowl prices are already included. You must know someone pretty high up to get that info. Mahomes prices are because he was mvp, threw for 50 td’s, 5000 yards and is on pace to do the same. Whoever told you the prices are already figured with a Super Bowl win is crazy. With a super bowl win people will wish they could get him at these prices still.

If its 'priced in' that means if the Chiefs do win the SB prices will stay exactly where they are

IMO they need a shutdown CB, 2 LB's, and a defensive lineman....I don't think there is a chance in hell Veach could pull off that many moves before the deadline, but without any changes to defensive personnel, we are at best a 1 or 2 and done playoff team...if that.

Just fill us in on the person you know who has set Mahomes cards at a level to include a super bowl win. Maybe a phone number or a email would be ok. You have already said you don’t need to do anything but what if we said please and promise not to attack you?

This is very reminiscent of Giannis earlier this year. Most people were saying an MVP and championship were already factored into his prices...well here we are a week before the season and 2013 Prizm silver prices are exactly where they were after the Buck's got knocked out of the playoffs.

Again, this is a personal attack. Just stick to the topic and stay away from making it personal. I think Mahomes prices right now are under the assumption Chiefs win the Super Bowl. Again that is my opinion as to why they are so high. If they don’t show that they are capable and start losing as they have been, prices will go down to reflect this decreased chance to winning the Super Bowl. People don’t pay 25k for a rookie card of a guy without titles unless it’s Mike Trout. Just my two cents. You gotta win titles to back up such a large price tag.

I agree with you in that everyone is entitled to their opinion and we can all be civil without resorting to personal attacks. The prices took a small dip after they lost to Patriots but the prices have gone up more than 200% since then. You are not going to see those prices from Feb anymore unless he has a career ending injury. The prices went up too much and too fast in the past few months and are due for a small correction but that will be another buying opportunity imo similar to the buying opportunity during the dip after the loss to Patriots.
