Moving on from people holding grudges for no reason, how do the Warriors lose to such a depleted Grizzlies team? Were they that overwhelmed by the emergence of VWJ? Once Memphis gets healthy (ie next year), look out league.

GS back in 2008 mode; OKC and Minny still inexperienced; Kangs still too reliant on shots falling; and Clips' hopes hinge on Claw's kneecaps.

Tonight shows what's possible when the entire roster decides to try on defense.

I'm still taking the field over the Lakers for the WCF. Since they won the IST on December 9th, they are 6-12.

In those 18 games, LeBron or AD have led them in scoring 16 times. AD has led in rebounding 15 of the 18 games. AD and LeBron have led in assists in 12 of those games. So, they are playing high level basketball and still losing more than they are winning. I don't see how they get everyone else on board for a 7 game series. Though, they can minimize the minutes of a few of the other bench players, they still have to go through (right now) the play-in games and two more rounds just to get to the conference finals. That's an awful lot to ask for some guys that aren't locked in on a nightly basis.

That's simply the way the game works.....players (and dynasties) get old and start to decline.

Heck, given how bad the Warriors were for most of my life (I've been a fan since the late 70's), I'm simply going to enjoy the fact that we won four rings, because that's four more than I ever thought I'd see them win.

Only one team can win the title every year, and 97% of the time it's not going to be your team.....so count your blessings when they do....

It's definitely a question of if they can get everything to come together, but they have the potential to get there again. In the middle of their recent struggles, they've beaten OKC twice and LAC... Both of which have been a few of the hottest teams. They also have losses to Memphis and SA though. I still say that if lebron and AD are healthy, they have to be taken seriously, unlike teams like the Warriors, who I think are dead in the water.

The problem isn't that their top 2 players are playing high level basketball...it's that the other 7+ role players aren't performing at acceptable levels nor displaying grit and hustle.


Just seems like the same arguments against the Fakers are regurgitated year after year...like the regular season is some glaring indicator of postseason success. When recent history has taught us that simply getting into the play-in (which is not tremendously difficult with a good crop of teams tanking annually) is all a team like LA needs. They were terrible before the AS break last year, and they're terrible this year. Yes, I realize they made the trade move which was the catalyst last year, but they've retained the same basic core...it's just a matter of the peripheral pieces doing their job. And I believe they will.

My prediction that they'll once again return to the WC finals isn't some massive shill job on their current strength, but rather an indictment on the lack of middle tier strength and experience currently in the WC. There's a lot of 2022-23 Grizzlies energy I'm getting from most of these squads. Not to say that they won't be extremely dangerous and have a ton of future postseason success, but as it sits now I think they'd struggle against LA in a 7 game series.
