It's somehow a pop 1 of 23 graded (USC150 refractor). I didn't think any would gem based on production quality. If the centering doesn't get you, the surface defects will!

The disparity between PSA 9s and 10s is incredible in that set. 9’s are almost under raw and 10s are 10x for base.

retail box that pulled the JRod plat. 1/1 RC he offered serious $$ for it, but the buyer went his own grading route.... no idea what happened to it.

What makes you think that I care about the BB'21? I was just trying to finish my poor-man's rainbows (Orange & below, although I do have a BB21 red) with that set. I think the BB'20 set is an infinitely better looking base design (though the bb21 autos are some of Julio's best designed autos).

Standard refractors are just kinda dull nowadays. I'll pick them up to help complete rainbows, but I won't go out of my way to pay a premium. But what do I know, I feel the same way about most gold refractors, though this is more because they are usually ugly, and every one else seems to love those.

I prefer first cards for each brand/type over some 'rookie' designation, minor league cards, printing plates (for historical reasons and because they look cool), oddballs, and rare sets with screwed up distribution (Players Exclusive).

I am also a cheap bastard, so, as a perennial last second under-bidder, I am certain that I have cost many other people in this thread a good bit of cash. If only you would have let me have a couple of BB21 atomics early on, you would have paid far less for the rest

The BB'21 thing was a joke, just messing with you Everyone has an opinion on it though. And I wasn't too far off. The atomic chase was a fun time of hope and optimism.

Standard refractors are boring now. But for me, they're a classic. I also like that they are serial numbered in TCU. I just added a second one for what seemed like a good price.

I still need a few for the BB'21 JRod rainbow, but I just can't get excited about the lava refractors, or the green for that matter which I still don't have. Price or appearance usually prevents me from pursuing rainbows.

He's on pace for a 30/30 season. LOL what are you guys expecting from all these players 50/50, .500 avg, 200 rbi seasons? Maybe switch to nba where they eliminated defense so guys can put up big numbers.

.239 avg with .301 OBP isn't great so far....but still a lot of season left.
