We are over the lux tax cap so even with defferals, that 30M costs us something like 60M?

They're saving their pennies for a run at Kyle Tucker next year. Which they should have all intentions to do! Move Bellinger to 1B at that point and roll with an OF of Judge JDom and Tucker. Sign me up all day for that!

That depends on if Belli opts out. Stanton's salary drops after this year and Grisham will be gone, but Devin is all a FA.

And Goldy's salary is off the books too. If Belli does well, I can see the Yanks making him a solid offer and still go hard for Tucker.

I think it's 40m. Unless they are breaking up the 120m over 3 years in an uneven way. Either way, he's not worth it.

There's deferrals so pv is like 30 per year. I don't know exactly how it works, but it would cost a lot to add him.

Ah deferrals. I forgot that they've become a thing. I don't like him so I'm happy they didn't spend the $.

F Bregman, but he's the perfect Red Sox villian...little weasel face....but I thought it was odd the other day Boone said Dominguez "will be given every chance to win LF" this spring...didn't seem like a ringing endorsement and there is no plan B so idk why it was phrased that way, especially from Mr Positive....

I think if he falls flat on his face, they'll probably play Grisham some more. Even if he can't hit he can play defense.

Good riddance they don’t need him anyway.

From what I read this is not what the media clickbait headlines are implying.

Stroman is rejecting a bullpen role, so the next couple weeks could get messy around the clubhouse if they can't find a trade partner

Just take the loss and cut bait. He adds nothing and his mannerisms do nothing but hurt clubhouse morale.

Nope I just read the article and it seems Boone is singing his praises. Whether that is trying to upgrade his value in a trade remains to be seen but Stroman and outstanding should never be used in the same sentence.

The clubhouse will be fine but the Yankees will be a losing team. Gleyber told Boone to shove it and there were no repercussions.

So sick of Stanton and his constant medical issues/injuries!

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton is uncertain for opening day because of tendinitis in both elbows.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone made the announcement Sunday as position players reported ahead of the first full-squad workout.

Asked whether it could impact Stanton's availability for the March 27 opener against Milwaukee, Boone responded: “Tough to say.”

“I’m not going to put any timeline on it,” he added. “We’re just going to be smart with it and kind of listen to it a little bit.”

Just as long as he is ready to hit bombs again in the post season.

This actually could be a blessing in disguise. Imagine not having to see Dominguez struggle to learn left field and his hitting will probably suffer because of it. He could be the full time DH with Stanton out and just concentrate on hitting. Then again, that might hurt his ROY chances.

I will vomit if Dom Smith and DJLM are everyday starters on Opening Day. Yes, the Yanks added a bunch of pieces but holy crap 7-8-9 is going to be a black hole.

To make it worse, there is absolutely no one left in the FA market that makes an immediate impact.

Boone has been extended through the 2027 season.............. I just don't get why he gets so much slack.

JD Martinez is still out there. I'd be in on picking him up on the cheap to DH.

Another 2 years of political style crap in his press conferences.

"I know so and so is 0-400, but I really feel they have been putting good at bats together and is really close to figuring it out."
