I believe the Luke #1 1/1 will go for $200k+ at a min and I might be low. A PSA 10 Luke went for $55k last Nov (pop 9). I think given this is the first Sapphire release (yes 45 years later but wouldn’t consider this a “reprint” set) gives it some lasting power. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Anyone else in the same boat here? I received a shipped/tracking email from Topps on the 27th, and even today the fedex site says "no record match" to the number.

Try using the number on the USPS site. It says mine was shipped FedEx too, but there are zero updates on the site. I googled the tracking number and it shows as a USPS package arriving today.

I was guessing the good ones would be $10k-$25k. Never underestimate a person with money when they really want something. |

I believe sales of the big Star Wars parallels will be significantly higher than the GPK parallels. There will also be more huge parallels to chase (Luke, Han, Leia, etc.) compared to GPK where it seemed like Adam Bomb was the only one bringing crazy money, and I’m pretty sure that 1/1 ended up selling for a fraction of what some of the main Star Wars 1/1s should sell for. I think these boxes should outpace GPK Sapphire boxes by quite a bit over time.

Work is slow today and I like data visualization so I put together a few charts on SW box prices. First chart plots all the sales for the day, with the blue box representing the middle 50% of prices (6/24 would probably look different if I split it pre vs post public release). Second chart shows amount of sales (size of bubble) and avg price by day.

I guess I’m on the bullish end here I’ll say the obvious in that it’s hard to gauge demand/spending power right now with the broader macro economic factors at play. I’m also looking at the math from the bottom up as well. If the Base #1 is $200, it’ll likely go to $150 over time and prob be around $300-450 as a PSA 10. I’d then think a Red would fetch 20-30x that? So IMO not too wild for the Onyx to hit $150-200k. I do think lower numbered parallels will fare well given the large, passionate, and deep pocketed fan base. The franchise itself is worth over $7B and things like fans spending $1200 a night to stay at the Disney Star Wars hotel tells me they want more. But I realize it’s still early and I don’t have a ton of knowledge about Star Wars collecting so we’ll see!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can't see it fetching that much at an auction, but if the seller is patient and able to find the right person, who knows.

If my tracking is for what I think, mine is coming from Ft Lauderdale. Hoping the package lands today, and that SW Sapphire is inside!

My pkg arrived yesterday...shipped out on 6/27...so it took only 4 days to get across the country to northern California. |

So, remember those 2021 chrome lite boxes they offered us last year. Opened my box today to squash the urge to open Star Wars.
