They converted that to 6 years, $360 million. So basically they added 2 years for $180. But those 2 years they added are 2029 and 2030. Who the heck knows what is going to happened between now and then? Allen will be 33 when the 2029 season begins.

IMHO it was way too early to give an extension, and way too much money.

With the way these salaries are going, it might end up a smart move in the long run. Look at how much the Bengals have cost themselves by being cheap the last 2 years with not resigning Chase, Higgins and Hendrickson.

Wilson - Giants
Fields - Steelers
Daniel Jones - Colts
Rodgers - Vikings (Titans as #2)
Browns and Jets end up leftovers, maybe Flacco or Cousins

It's Fields or Rodgers. I just can't see Rodgers in Pittsburgh but maybe it happens. If so then Fields goes to the Jets.

Williams passing stats were pretty identical to Jayden Daniels' passing stats. Williams was also running for his life most of the time.

Imagine you're a fan, and you hear that these are your two choices= a washed Rodgers, or a under achieving Fields? So much for reaching for the stars

To be fair there aren't any really good QB options in free agency or the draft and they need to get someone. But they aren't going to have Super Bowl aspirations this year.

I'd take Darnold over either, which admittedly is still a gamble, but I'd also take a shot on a QB in the draft, because we have seen what these guys have to offer, but we haven't see what the draft guys can do. There's already a ceiling with Rodgers or Fields

This is why we'll probably see multiple teams trying to trade up to take Sanders. I would take Darnold on a cheap contract like he has last year but certainly not a multi year deal for $40 mil per which is what he's looking for. He's been in the league for 7 years and last year was the only good year he's had as a full time starter playing with one of the top 2 WR in the NFL and great secondary weapons. And he still failed miserably at the end of the year when it mattered. I'd rather take a shot on Carson Wentz on a cheap one year deal then Darnold.

Why him? He's the QB 2-3 in the draft depending on which expert and mock you look at
