I have spent 2.5k so far on singles and here’s what I have been able to get.

Nice. I figured you had an existing WNBA collection, otherwise that would have been a 0-60 set of purchases in record time Those are really sweet cards!

I've shifted to the singles approach in the last couple weeks as well. Nowhere near the level of what you've been purchasing, but I've been enjoying it! Silver Courtside has been my target for the rookies and superstars, as well as CC Courtside color. No autos yet, but I'm certainly not opposed to picking some up if the price is right.

I finally gave in and tried a blaster, couldn't leave the last one (although I can't lie and say I haven't been checking to see if that's the case lol would of left if there was two though). Can't really complain at all at what I got:

-Clark base concourse
-Napheesa Collier Silver concourse
-Katie Lou Samuelson #/399

Was a fun rip, admit it was a little deflating seeing a numbered Fever not jus because it would mean no numbered Clark I thought it could mean no Clark period, but the next pack there she was first card so mood was up again. Probably won't do much more or any my luck prob used up on the base but I see how these can get addicting especially if you had money set away for hobby before it cost a house down payment lol will def be ripping each WNBA retail product this year which I've never done.

Is this the best time to buy?

The Hobby boxes actually are going down in price, (granted they were high to begin with).

The Select Blasters have not really risen, not the easiest to find but they are out there. (Best buy has them $35).

Is it just because it is not CC talk all day long, or because PRIZM mania has not taken place.

I am getting some cards to grade, but not sure if I should throw more money at Blasters or start doing singles.

Recent trips to Target on what are typical restock days have come up empty except for one today where I found 8 blasters on the shelf. I think I make my money back with this and a couple other cards & 2 base CC varieties:

With Hobby you really need a CC auto or serial # card to make your money back. I have opened 2 cases and was fortunate to get 3 CC autos and a black/gold. The low numbered cards of other players just dont sell that well.

Blasters can be really bad but its a much lower risk. However if you open 10 you might as well get a hobby box.

Since the other answer is just a humble-brag about hitting CC autos I'll answer for you lol:

I would wait to buy singles as they will definitely drop once other sets release, you also have likely a billion people grading CC right now and it's only gonna be Select, so it's also better to wait as if her Pop Count becomes massive it'll trickle down and graded/ungraded will drop and be a better time to buy.

If you're buying blasters the hope would be CC auto, numbered, Color Wheel, Zebra/Tiger whatever is in retail lol and Ice/Silvers. None of those mentioned should drop a ton with other sets so if that's your chase I say keep ripping....keep in mind Select parallels SHOULD perform better than Monopoly Prizm in the long-run and Reg Prizm will probably have like one-two numbered options at most so Select is still one of the better CC retail rips this year imo.

Has anyone seen blaster restocks besides the tins? I hadn't noticed any at Target locations since late Nov or early Dec.
