I was going to be in at 85 even knowing that would probably be a minor blood bath. Going to be lots of losers at 95.

Happy to wait for the checklist before making a big purchase for this one. Pricing was higher than I'd like, but not the end of the world.

Yeah, pre-orders are never gonna be hot deals anymore. As long as you remove that expectation, I don't think this is that bad.

Correct, and if the Heritage itch needs to be scratched, think about value comparisons between numerous boxes of 2024 you get vs 2022 and 2018. I'd rather have a shot at a 5 figure card and have 1 box than 3 boxes of junk.

Don't get me wrong, I would have paid 1k a case to enjoy 1975 and have fun and lose a bit. But the fun factor is significantly too expensive at this price point.

I think if they would guarantee early delivery, maybe there's an advantage to pre-ordering, but I've only gotten pre-orders a few days after release. Might as well wait.

Right, if I am going to gamble, I would rather waste $1,000 on a box of Dynasty then a case of Heritage. And the pain is over very fast.

Topps is in this to make as much money as possible. Consumers are to blame for current prices.

Have to pay to play. $100 for a box of 2024 cards is pretty cheap.

Don’t buy!

This crap always drops in price.

I have no idea why people are rushing to buy a product before the checklist comes out, especially one that usually drops in price after release.
What are you waiting to see?

Having watched some case breaks of these, boy is this product diluted.

Exactly.

Let’s guess: same rookies as Series 1, Trout, Ohtani, Altuve autos, some super duper hard to hit jersey autos, chrome that are one in three boxes, janky box loaders to throw away, near impossible throwback and errors, action shots that are hard to distinguish from the base, some donkey inserts.

I always thought Heritage was a cool throwback for set builders with very little hits and auto, right?

It’ll be all the rookies, including the guys with just inserts/autos in series 1. Yamamoto will likely be in it, he’s in tribute, probably as an SSP

I think literally the only things we’re waiting to find out are if Ohtani and Soto base will be in new uniforms, if all the rookies have autos (I could see them holding back like 1 guy), the minis, and who the retired autographs will be.

Nothing should move the needle, except maybe the minis

Not that you're arguing in good faith, but I'm personally waiting to see what they did with Yamamoto, which signers are confirmed and if my guy Pete Crow-Armstrong made it in.

I'll be buying regardless, it will influence the amount I buy though.

I'd guess that Yamamoto is almost assuredly going to be in HHN. If they got Brett and Yount to sign, that would be pretty awesome.

Sucks, but it depends where you are. I'm close to their Ohio facility and have gotten preorders a day or two before release.

Topps Online only standalone product, I'm calling it.

Yep. It’s 1975 and they know it .. last years is it 60 a box ?

Since they jacked the print runs up in 2020

Look at last 6-8 products including high. Prices are low or nobody is buying them

Even 2022 update with Julio and Witt are 45 a box because print run is 5-10 times higher

I get everything has gone up. It’s true. But wax prices going up so fast. And mix that in with all the gambling

It’s garbage imo
