All hope is not lost.....

The Bucs have faced Dak Prescott, Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford in three consecutive weeks. All good to very good QB's.

Looking at the upcoming 10 games on the schedule it is possible the Bucs get back on track.

Upcoming Bucs opposing QBs...

Week 4 - Mac Jones (R)
Week 5 - Jacoby Brissett
Week 6 - Jalen Hurts
Week 7 - Andy Dalton/Justin Fields (R)
Week 8 - Jameis Winston
Week 9 - Bye
Week 10 - Taylor Heinicke/Fitzmagic
Week 11 - Daniel Jones
Week 12 - Carson Wentz
Week 13 - Matt Ryan

8-1 or 7-2 in that stretch seems very possible. Very weak schedule but things can change of course.

They desperately need corner help. I imagine Sherman will be signed soon.

Things were looking good until I put money on them. The curse strikes again.

They better be 11-1 after that stretch. Bills is the only concerning game left on their schedule and they have them at home. Secondary has to get healthy.

Not too worried about that loss versus the Rams. CBs are just so banged up, plus with it being an away game.

Rams Bucs are the best 2 teams in the NFC, no shame in a regular season away loss.

Now the attention turns to NE

Looking at the NE game, man I don’t see how the Bucs don’t win by double digits. I know the defense hasn’t looked great but we’ve faced 2 great offenses and 1 good offense. The Patriots offense is inferior to what we’ve seen, plus their style hits all the Bucs strengths. A power running game versus the best run defense in the NFL and they focus their passes through their TEs, and we have the LBs/Safeties to cover them. You beat the Bucs defense through the air through great WRs. I’m not scared of Bourne/Agholor/Meyers/Harry, they’re worlds below what we’ve seen like Kupp/Amari/Ridley/etc

@DougKyed
Free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman is traveling to Tampa to visit the #Buccaneers today, per his manager @MitchEisenstein

@DougKyed
#Buccaneers QB Tom Brady reached out to Richard Sherman to check if he was in shape before Tampa Bay’s front office contacted the All-Pro cornerback. Brady and Sherman have a strong relationship off the field.

It's been water under the bridge since Sherman was the first to congratulate Brady on this 4th SB win.

And they signed Richard Sherman. Hopefully this helps a secondary that certainly needs it. Be interesting to see how much he has left in the tank.

Happy with the Sherman signing, no risk there with all the injuries to the secondary. He’ll be better than Delaney

Come through!

Any help is welcome with that depleted secondary. Even U Mad Bro's

How many players now are on the team that have made all
Pro in their career? Seems like a good amount

Once they pick up Josh Gordon after the Chiefs cut him, they'll be set.

Took some hits/falls after the initial hit as well last week.

@AdamSchefter
Bucs’ TE Rob Gronkowski suffered multiple fractured ribs last Sunday that threaten to sideline him for multiple weeks, sources tell ESPN.

Initial X-rays were clean but follow up MRIs were not. “We held out hope all week he’d be ready,” said one source. “He’s a different breed.”

Tampa Bay is learning the value of Rob Gronkowski. They are a different offense without him.

Sorry. Bucs are NOT going to the SB with a D like that.

I assume they won’t be playing practice squad cornerbacks the rest of the season and Sherman will only get better. Plus there’s a reason the Pats had -1 yards rushing.

Sounds like Carlton Davis might be out for a couple months. Just brutal injuries in the secondary right now, down our top 3 CBs is brutal

It’s all injuries in the back half. I mean they’re down 3/4 starters and counting in the secondary they’re looking for warm bodies now. Sherman was a big pick up considering the situation. Thankfully they have time on their hands and a weak schedule.

Their secondary is completely shot with injuries. I can't find an update on Murphy-Bunting anywhere. Is he expected to come back at all this season? Seems like Carlton Davis is done for a significant period of time.

Hopeful to be back in the next 3-4 weeks depending on how the elbow responds
