Not that it matters at all for price but I think the Noir FOTL box looks awesome. It's doing really well for prices of those boxes. The Spectra FOTL box looks average at best. Those are doing ok.

Claiming that packaging makes no difference to sales while touting how awesome Noir FOTL looks for the price says it all. Why does the box look awesome? Because Panini knew hobby was to be a $1000 product.

FYI I have no need to double down on anything as I have neither Obsidian nor any Elite.

What happened to clectors opening for enjoyment? I still find it interesting Panini inserted the Contras into FOTL. Seemed like a something they'd want to make standard in hobby. I personally love Obsidian's base set (have a complete BK & soccer set) and I'm confident Contras will sell for mucho dolares.

I guess I just figured you would know I was being sarcastic on great sales for Noir FOTL. Sales are in the toilet. Even if you bought at the bottom it was a loser. Whereas Spectra FOTL was a big winner and the box doesn't look good. Packaging makes zero difference on newer boxes. Maybe on something old that you can't find anymore it may help a little idk. But there are zero preorder or new boxes a real buyer is going to pay extra money for or buy only because they like the look of the box.

Unless I'm missing something I think the Morant you're referring to is a Select card. As far as I can tell the only Obsidian cards listed are Troy Brown Jr., Andre Drummond, and Matt Bonner.

Small sample size thus far, but it looks like each FOTL box is yielding one RPA / RJA which is nice.

I was going to ask about this..wonder if regular Obsidian will will be like regular Spectra and not have a guaranteed RPA. That would be huge as most of the Vet checklist is pretty substandard

Guy in the breaks didn’t get one.

The base set looks awful. Don’t understand why Panini felt the need to change the design.

I can appreciate those who don't like the base cards. I actually think they look good, thank goodness they didn't put team colors on them. I do like last year's better with the game background, but I'm just glad they changed it up enough not to look exactly like last year's.

I like them too, but probably like last year's better. But these base are so much better designed than Noir, the other black themed Panini set.
