I've picked up some Acuna recently, as well. While I was shopping for pajamas and undies for Soto I came upon some Acuna I liked as well. I know I'm only like the 4th person to like them but the undies have really grown on me.

Curious how you guys feel about the non-licensed rookies like optic that are so much more popular with basketball and football. To get any rookie for $15 of acuna seems like a steal whether it's licensed or not. Thoughts? You can get some really cool looking low-numbered prizm cards as well. I like them for PC but I'm really curious to see how these cards hold up long-term value-wise..

I'm basically living in a TJ Maxx these days. I don't really care what's popular, I just like what I like and so ever since I really sat down and looked at all the pajamas and undies and the bang-for-your-buck you get with them I've just been concentrating on those.
I totally get why they're never going to be hugely popular. I'm definitely not buying any of this stuff because I think it's going to make me rich and, lord knows, I'm the champion of the "collect what you like" creed so I'm not trying to influence anyone else. I had just never actually sat down and done thorough searches and looked at the cards closely and considered cost. I'm a sucker for shiny and bright colors; like that dog from the animated movie, "squirrel!" I see low serial-numbers and on-card autos (NO STICKERS!!!!) and it makes my green bean tingle. I don't know what happened to me. I used to loathe the concept of unlicensed cards. I did have multiple concussions as a teenager. So, there's a precedence. Arthur |

The guy you bought it from bought it from me. He gave an now interesting story. He said this was the exact card his father pulled and had graded. He sold it for some reason so he wanted to buy it for him. Seemed reasonable since it was the only 8.5 graded. Odd thing is he didn't really have to give that story. The sale was already done, he only mentioned it afterwards. I was going to ask after Christmas how his dad liked the card but apparently that won't be needed. Wonder if the story was fake or if he found out why his father sold it and decided to sell it because of it. He didn't make money on the card so not sure what to think.
