For the best.

Non Book and KD were 8-13 in that quarter for 19 points. Didn't expect that.

Non Jokic minutes, Phoenix going small with KD playing the 5. Interesting.

Hate to see it. Wanted to see Philly close it out at home, but this just felt like it was going to be a seven game series once Philly won game 4. The Celtics weren’t even great tonight, but they were better than the Sixers. Too many open looks misses. Harris / Harden / Melton give you 46 PPG on 32.5 shots in the regular season and only 15 tonight on 28 shots. Embiid wasn’t great, but he held up his end, especially on defense. Maxey was the main bright spot and it was good to see Tucker firing, although missing.

Onto game 7.

I disagree. You can't have the league MVP just be OK ... which is what Embiid has been every game. Not once has he hit 50% and in every late 4th, he's gassed allowing extra rebounds for Boston.

Throw away game 2 because he was rust; he's played 40 minutes a night and has been just OK in al four games. He needs to come out and make a statement in game #7. Has to.

Time to start naming potential 2024 destinations for Slim Weeper.

I'm sure any second now, that Phx midrange game is going to expose Jokic so badly in the PnR. His defense is debilitating right?

I agree. By “held up his end” I’m using a low bar. He’s produced on offense and been mostly stellar on defense, but he hasn’t dominated like, for example, the game against Boston at the end of the season.

He was a monster on offense in so many games this season and hasn’t quite been that guy this series. The series against Brooklyn it was understandable since their entire defense was predicated around stopping Embiid, regardless of the manpower required. Boston hasn’t done anything special, and Embiid has still just been good, not great. He needs to do MVP stuff game 7 because ultimately he’s the guy that needs to will them across the finish line. When you’ve shown you can consistently be that guy, you need to be that guy when it matters most.

Embiid aside, the contributions from three of the other top five scorers on the team were pitiful. The Sixers need to shoot the ball better. It’s that simple. And hope that Boston continues to be mediocre.

Was hoping this was at least going to be a semi close game. KD is going to get killed by the media for this one.

I miss not seeing any Simmons FTs in the semifinals, so it's nice to get some Biyombo shots at least.

You may be onto something. Less may be more re: Malone's strategy, and maybe his ailment is giving them inspiration.

They might as well get Ishbia out there to flop around and draw some charges, can't hurt.

KD was legit bad the whole series. 43/22 splits w/ 4 TO's has got to be his worst series in the post-season since BKN last year LOL.

Man could never carry but he's down two solid notches now.
