Imagine a year ago, if someone said people would be complaining because a jordan psa 10 rc sold for only $400-$500k and said the market isnt doing well.

Exactly. They take like 5 cards with super high pop reports and expect everyone to just keep paying more and more. If they bought it for $30k over a year ago or whatever they were, they wouldn't complain about it selling for $500k.

I see in early Feb a psa 8 was going 20k to 25k
They cooled a bit to 10k in the current market Do we see it stabilizing at 10k or major movement? Are most people buy in Feb wealthy so the drop in value isn't really a big deal? To spend 20k on a card, you prob have a lot of money I'd guess Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk |

I don't see major movement in either direction, but I think it'll come down a couple grand or so in the near term. The 8s were $3K before the pandemic lockdowns and I don't see them getting near that level again. And it'll be a while before they see $20-30K again, like a matter of several years probably. And when that happens they'll probably see a run-up to $60K first before dropping lol.

I need to get this sold for my friend in the next week or so. We were pretty disappointed with the grade which I assume got nailed for the bleed on the back. In what manner would y’all recommend moving this, factoring in a. the market going in the wrong direction currently and b. that it presents really well for a 7.5 from the front

yeah consign that sucker with pwcc or probstein. its not the prettiest card I wouldn't expect a high hammer in the current market. if you don't need the $ it may make sense to sit on it and track the market. could be smart to sit on it a year or two (or more).

I think you guys are being harsh on that card. Too to bottom it’s damn near perfectly centered and to me the l/r is not bad. The bleeding hurts but personally it doesn’t bother me that much, as it’s a factory defect.

I think it’s lucky to be a 7.5 to be honest. They aren’t real friendly with the half grades so you got lucky there. By looking at the provided pictures I would have been happy with a 6-7. Nice card and good luck. Consignment is your best bet for top dollar in my opinion.

Any of you see this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-Fleer-...p2047675.l2557
I was following it for a minute but kind of lost track. Didn't think it would go so high. Even with the pics, that's a lot to pay for an ungraded card. |

Curious what people think of this Jordan. Have had since 1988 and need to get it grade. Its a small bit off center, but curious on the print defect on the back and what that will do for the grade.

This was an absolute steal tonight:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-87-Fle...p2047675.l2557 This card is so rare. Pop 14 with 2 x 10 and 2 x 9.5 sub grades. Just .5 a point away from a BGS 10 Pristine pop 6 which is a $1m card easy. This card should be worth at least $200-250K easy. Can't believe it only went for $121,100! This is much rarer than a PSA 10 pop 14 vs pop 317. |

Beckett slabs are a major drag on this card. Great feel good story like you posted about population and high grade etc. While it’s a good get for a collector it’s value in that case is crushed. Is PSA or nothing as far as resale/investment with #57. There’s no arguing this as it’s clear the market has spoken. And the gap will only widen in time.

Grading is political and always will be. Over the years, I have crossed BGS 9's to PSA 10's and PSA 9's to BGS 9.5's. Its all about timing and who is looking at it. |

If the buyer of this beautiful BGS 9.5 cares at all about money, then he can try to cross to PSA 10 to quadruple his money.
