Oh man nice! I probably bid you up a bit on that Gold Dust because I wanted it too! Great pickups.

I'm enjoying this SB but I already want to start thinking about what next year looks like...

Rice looks like a solid #2, could be #1 WR... who else could they add in FA? Maybe give Michael Pittman a chance to be a true #1?

Feels like they need just 1 true #1/#2 WR (and not even a top guy) and Rice taking the year 2 WR leap to open up the offense again.

I'd love for them to figure out a way to get Adam Thielen as the #3 somehow.

I'm okay with them running it back after finding a replacement for MVS, but priority #1 is not letting Chris Jones leave the building. He needs a 3 year $87M deal.

Here's the deal.

For all you wanting to get a Mahomes...go for autos. Period.

Early autos/rookie autos are the best...but autos in general.

He hasn't signed any cards since 2020, and now at this point with 3 SB rings, I doubt he cares if he signs anymore.

Any autos after 2020 are aftermarket and I would stay away.

As much as I like Pittman, I think he will cost way too much for the Chiefs. I think they will look for short term free agents and add another WR in the draft. They just won the last two Super Bowls with this formula at WR, so I don't see them changing anything.

Patel Mel is his rookie sig, so that will always be a bit more special than the P swoosh swoosh.


BUUUUUT, getting either one, especially on card will be something that would be good to own.

I am sentimental about a lot of the early year #ed/SSP cards I'm holding, but if I were to consolidate I'd go for nothing but certified autos as you say.

The early autos are a lock to be desirable and scarce.

That said, he's got to be after only Jordan on Fanatics' wishlist so I wouldn't count on certified stuff not coming back. The old sig, however, won't be coming back.

I do have an Epson but it is an ET-3750, not the best for scanning cards. I will certainly take that advice about the Legos though, I know mine are stashed somewhere lol.

This is good advice! Mahomes autographs on cards are going to be as rare and limited as Brady autograph cards became late in his career. Ultimately, his autos will just be too expensive for the card companies to pay, and as mentioned above, Patty may not even care to sign anymore.

Someone will offer him over 30 million (Texans is my bet)...and I don't think the Chiefs will up there offer from last year .Sneed is a bigger worry . might become the highest paid CB and only 25-26....pay him and rebuild the rest. No sense in me playing GM. What this guy is doing works. The Tyreek trade has worked to be an absolute masterclass in roster reconstruction.

agreed ..he had totally earned trust. Tyreek trade could end up like the modern day Hershal Walker trade. Also I wouldn't be shocked if they end up trading Sneed. His value would never be higher...hope they keep him...but as long as we have 15 we got a chance .

MVS and Hardman absolutely must go. I'll forever be grateful to their contributions this year in the playoffs, but when your major deep threat goes for 21 catches for 315 yards and 1 TD in the entire season he's gone. Hardman caught the most important pass of the year, but also almost lost us the season by fumbling at the 1. Again, grateful, he's a Chiefs semi-legend with 3 rings, but he's gone. Give up on Sky Moore now.

Keep Rashee and I guess Justin Watson because he's good for 1 catch a game for 23 yards and his catches seem timely. Then start over. They absolutely need to get a WR1 somewhere. They need to get Patty whatever he wants that they can afford after what he did for the team this year. He is absolutely not going to put up with the trash core he had this year.

Would love to see Chris Jones stay a play for his legacy, but after the way the Chiefs treated him this year he's absolutely gone. He'll get paid somewhere and we'll never hear from him again on some non-playoff team.

This is one of those things where if I'm Pat, I want THAT guy in the locker room. It's a $10M difference to make up. Restructure and keep CJ in Kansas City.

I trust Veach to solve the problem if that doesn't transpire but as a teammate, there is no way I'm letting the heart and soul of the D walk out over $10M/year knowing KC can make it up on the backend for Pat.

MVS is out. I'm okay if they can keep Hardman if they are able to sign him for $1-$1.5M a year. Jet sweeps are probably making a comeback next year and that's where he excelled. Nice gadget guy. Might break out and have a 100 yard game once a year.
