There's potentially less blues than the Special Ink gold. We know there are 25 of those, but we don't know how many blues there are. The mystery, coupled with how many there were available, drove the price.

Idk there have been 8 blue ink's listed in the first few weeks and haven't seen another special edition yet.

I can see that since Nomar/Ortiz overlapped.... and then if Benny ends up making it big, that becomes one of his best cards ever

Brent opened 45 cases and got zero autos of his. These are rarer than any other auto except maybe Jeter.

Not saying it's not rare. But to say that the blue ink is more scarce than the special edition when no special editions have been on eBay and 8 blues have makes no sense.

Ironically same case that had this special edition moncada I got, also had a jeter auto.

I'm not saying the blue is rarer. You're right I've never seen a gold other than yours. I would list it at $999 OBO and see what kind of response you get.

Interesting tactic by a seller today who posted two separate auctions on eBay for Mike Trout and Kris Bryant "Black and White" Posters, which in reality are just the backsides of all of the appropriate Heritage All Star cards. Only $24.99 plus shipping. Limited description.

Numbering on poster box loaders is interesting. All posters on the front have numbering stating "No xx of 30". There are 20 non-autographed posters and 10 autographed versions, so that is where the 30 comes from. However, if you look carefully, both of the Rod Carew posters (Auto and Non Auto) say "No 30 of 30" on the front. Cards in both cases are also identified on back as "Topps 68P-RC". Just thought it was interesting.

I think it just means card #30 of the box topper poster series which consists of 30 players.

Yes. But my point is that 2 of the 30 posters are of Carew. One is Autographed and one is not. I would expect each of them to be numbered differently, but they are not

1968 Poster Autograph Set Checklist
10 cards. Hobby only. Hand-Numbered.

68PA-AK Al Kaline - Detroit Tigers (No. 18 of 30)

So, you get my point...hopefully. These numbers were all confirmed from my own posters and/or eBay. It seems they just kept numbering on front the same for Auto version and non-auto version of each guy who has one of each.

Think I got a pretty good deal with this auction on ebay - the Arenado color swap and the 2 action cards more than pay for what I paid in total...

Just an FYI, friends, I plan to sell everything I opened in 1 monster lot, maybe 2. I've barely sold any of what I ripped (34 hobby boxes, 8 blasters). If you have interest in a huge deal for it, please get in touch. I've done many of these here on BO.

My local Target got a new shipment of Heritage with the exclusive inserts - looks like 6 blasters and 24 hanger boxes.

and your quote doesn't make sense. gold jewelery is mixed with cheaper metals then silver (usually copper).

i meant overall BASEBALL FORUM page three (as in, off of the main page)

as for my quote, BGS 9.5s (Gold in BGS's eyes) should not have sub-grades lower then 9.5 (no 9's, which are Silver in BGS's eyes)

Sweet Duffy run!!!

Show that Carew blue ink. That's a super tough one. Red ink is much easier it appears.
