Yankees have 2, possibly 3 games at home to turn this around.

Can’t blame this one on Boone. When the offense gets only a Soto home run as their only hit off of Yomamoto what the heck is he supposed to do. When Volpe couldn’t show patience in his 9th inning at bat that’s not on Boone. The players lost this game especially Rodon who got the first 2 outs in the 4th and then became the gopher giver upper to put them in a hole. Boone did well getting him out of the game before it got worse and the bullpen didn’t give up another run. The 9th inning could’ve been the comeback they needed but with Judge in the middle of a rally it’s like one sure out. He’s not even making contact lately and I am going to say something crazy but I would bench him for game 3.

Win game 3 or it’s over.

Yup, that's where we're at.

If they lose Monday, hopefully the younger guys on this roster learn and grow from this. If Volpe and wells don't take that next step, this will be the last one for a while.

If Wells wasn’t a catcher I don’t think he would be seeing playing time right now. Volpe is strange because he has had spurts where he seems to be figuring things out but then regresses. I am surprised they actually made last nights game as close as it was.

The back half of the lineup is awful. And that’s even with them getting Rizzo back just in time. Judge turning into a pumpkin hurts the most though. The delta between regular season Judge and postseason Judge is worth at least one win in a 7 game series.

To watch their team lose to the highest payroll team that looks like they bought a championship? I doubt it.

I'm not even going to torture myself with the rest of this series as the offense looks like they may get one win (if lucky) and the series is over. I may be done next year too.

We have said far too long that these Yankees teams are only built to get to the playoffs. Boone can get to the playoffs and can't win a World Series. Judge can get you to the playoffs and as the highest player on this team, he should be helping deliver world series championships. Instead, he has 6 Ks in the World Series and is a playoff loser at the plate. Let's hope the fan love and fun time playing in pinstripes sways Soto, because without him, this team is doomed even more next year.

At least Wells threw out Ohtani which is something a lot of catchers couldn't. That's why Wells is playing every game. He is way better than Trevino behind the plate. He saved their bacon many times blocking balls in the ALCS. Hopefully, his hitting advances next year instead of regressing like Volpe. Batting coach needs to get Volpe back to what he was doing in the two previous series as he is clearly off that game.

I will believe this when I see it. I don’t think you can give up on the Yankees and if you do that would be a shame.

Any team can spend as much as the Dodgers they just choose not to. And saying of all teams the Yankees complaining about another teams payroll comes off as sour grapes.

That’s why I said if he wasn’t a catcher his defense is what’s keeping him in the lineup, would’ve been nice if he could’ve provided some offense in the postseason, but he’s not the only Yankee who stopped hitting.

Can’t dispute that does he eventually get a ring like Kershaw did.

If the Yankees can take advantage of being at home they could make a series out of this yet. The only problem is they have been a better road team so my hopes are slim. Even if the dodgers don’t have Ohtani for the remainder of the series it won’t matter because he wasn’t the player hurting them. If They plan on beating the Dodgers they need to look at themselves because in reality that’s whose beating them.

If anything gives me hope it’s the fact that in Yankees vs Dodgers World Series of the past both teams have come back after losing the first 2 games.

Just look at the first 2 games against the Braves in the 1996 World Series if you think they can’t come back. If ever a team should’ve been dead and buried it was that one.

One thing that’s bothering me is the Yankees coaching staff had 5 days to work with Judge and try to correct whatever is ailing him. Obviously it didn’t work as it seems worse than ever.

It has to be a mental thing at this point. He's putting all this pressure on himself because he hasn't been performing up to his regular season dominance, and he may even be doubting himself as well.

He hasn’t looked this bad since his call up in 2016.

Why? They have given up on the fans. Owner sucks. Manager sucks. Cashman is probably 50/50. Best and most expensive player sucks in the playoffs. I would never switch teams. I just don't think putting up with the constant disappointment is good for my health or psyche.

Ohtani is playing. The question will be "will he try and steal again (if he gets on base) or will he be squeamish about it."
