I am in the same boat. I only have a base at the moment but can easily see how the design differences would make color parallels pop.

Any idea on the PR for this oddball set? I don’t think it’s impossible to imagine this set gaining a little popularity years down the road if Baller doesn’t do another.

Random off topic question... has there ever been a set of thicker chrome cards? Something around 100pt+?

Absolutely. Think the deal was perfect for both of us - he unloaded a ton of great (but much more easily obtainable graded gem cards - think Acuna, Soto, etc) plus half cash - so his cash investment was offset by a bunch of base cards graded at more reasonable prices that grew nicely for me - I think from the initial cash value of the deal - the final cash value of the deal grew 180% before finally cashing them all out.

If it effects WAR, surely it will make a difference hobby and fantasy league wise. As for Yordan himself, being out there might impact him mentally. Didn't someone post that his offensive stats while playing the OF were somewhat better? He'd probably have to work on his flexibility though.

It's ok I think it was still a great deal, I was expecting it to go much higher. An HGA 9 went for $350 I believe, a few months back.

I thought it might've been you who posted it here originally, but couldn't remember.

Interesting fact, was that information from a credible source? Peer reviewed study?

Everything about a player impacts their collectability. Performance, attitude, advanced stats, Instagram followers, their hair...
