If Charles or George can't beat Max, at some point those teams need to move on...

Lando I find to be the most talented driver with the car given. Talent doesn't pay like world championships does. If we are in an era where Max is gonna win 7 straight. We should see plenty of new young drivers competing during that time and hopefully taking him off his throne here and there.

Gotta win world championships or your a nobody imo.

Yep its more akin to NBA superstars and championships. Its also not about winning 1 like say Nico gotta when a bunch that Schumacher, Hamilton just like MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Curry etc.

Eh, some drivers just never get the car or only have it for a couple of years. Fernando probably deserved more than his 2 championships.

Thanks for the chuckle...Verflappen, that's funny and not too terribly far from what I heard when I first started watching F1.

Charles has lost 1 win due to an engine failure and another due to terrible Ferrari strategy.

Max has had reliability issues too, but it has to be specifically painful for Charles to throwaway all those points.

People arent excited about Yuki and Schumacher, the only rookies in the set. Everyone else is a second year card. This year we get another pay driver RC. Next year we figure to get Piastri who is a semi exciting prospect but you are looking at 3-4-5th year cards. It ends up being like NASCAR where you can pull some really cool stuff but it doesn't move at massive prices. Mix that with the current economical pull back and it should fall below MSRP in reality.

I agree with this statement mostly but I could see it rise 3-4 years down the road if Yuki and Schumacher move teams and start winnings. But you are right, its not a normal product like with baseball/basketball/football with hyped rookies each year

It would be like if one baseball team had worse bats one year. We've seen ferrari struggle, maybe it goes back to merc dominating next year and Russel being the biggest star. Its such a weird sport to collect because there's so much not in the driver's control + an overall unfair playing field.

Mine is still live. Ordered one box, new account created for the coupon, purchased Thursday night 4 hours after the redrop went live, and checked out with paypal.

Going forward for cancellation posts, it would be useful to know what time purchases were made.

It's definitely not time related. I had an order placed Thursday morning canned, an order placed 30 seconds after it went live Thursday afternoon canned and then 3 more placed in the next 15 minutes canned.

The only ones live now are one placed Wed, and two MC from Tuesday. It took about 4 days for my Thur orders to get canned so I do believe they were manually reviewing somehow. Haven't heard of any cancels since Tuesday though so they may be done.

Yeah for real, Russell hasn't beaten Max once during his 1st year in a Merc and has only finished Top 5 in every race.

What a loser! They should definitely move on from him.

As one of the new guys to F1 that came over through Topps products' introduction, I've found the sport massively entertaining to follow. Lots of facetime/interviews of the drivers and they do a great job marketing them, even showing them at their worst only to have them be pleasant in post race interviews despite their tough days on the track.

I've been amazed at the strength of the collector base. People will scream it's all a bubble, pumping etc and it's only investor money but with some 2nd year cards selling for more than their first year counterparts (Red Refractors /5) I think there are clear signs that it's not typical "investor" money. Seems like a legit fan base with either a decent amount of expendable income or a starved (for 28 years) collector base that's been saving up for these releases.

Anyway, I've been an avid sports fan for decades and have only recently gotten into F1. Love the sport so far and think it may have a bit of staying power and retain fans if it can attract enough new ones.

I think its both a collector base that is starved and a base that has the money to spend on this stuff.

Both lite and hobby are cheaper elsewhere. They’ll most likely sit there with the other overpriced, overproduced trash.
