I'm still sticking to the Wet Willie theory. I think whoever is doing the cards for Don likes puns and/or trolling.

DON C's cards would be amazing if they could actually be printed with foil technology and texture

Agreed.

Though I still think the set will be interesting when all 20 are displayed together.

Interesting? Yes. Cohesive? No.

Can't wait for his Ted Williams. It will most likely be a wood design.

If anyone could pull off the "frozen head" Ted Willams card, it would be Don C.

Thank you for explaining it to my idiot brain. That makes sense.

My intentions were to collect the Griffey set and Don C, but so far Don C has been awful and the new Griffey might have completely turned me off. These are supposed to be interpretations of iconic cards. Today’s Griffey is so far off base.

Didn’t it actually say like “.999 iron” on it as well?

That's just like... your interpretation, man. Art (and photoshop) can be whatever the artist wants it to be.

Like TBP says, there's 272 other cards left to be released. You don't have to buy them all. And many of the past cards are cheap enough to go a different direction too!

It’s not my interpretation. It’s what Topps promoted, artists renditions of iconic cards. How does that Griffey look anything like the 89 Topps?

I think it’s one of the best cards made in the project.

That’s my interpretation.

Awesome tho- one less competitor who has a complete Griffey set!

I’ll have them for sale for $29.99 on my website when you change your mind in a couple months!

If you impose boundaries on it, it isn't art.

Wait... people are really subscribing to the conspiracy that he isn’t designing his own cards?

I mentioned it maybe 754 pages ago but I'd like someone to put Frank Thomas in Alabama colors.
