Mets will need to make some realistic adjustments here if they want to finish the season at the top of the division.

Sadly, the outfield is horrible, just horrible. IDK what happened to Lagares this season, but he ranks as one of the worst CF'ers in baseball, and without an arm, he has to be the worst. He reads are slow, his route tonight to the Peterson ball awful (probably not gonna catch it, but he went lateral first and that didn't help). Granderson is mired in a loooooooong slump; and Cuddyer is good for his 1-4, single, 2K games night in and night out.

Duda has flat out sucked all month, he's not hitting anything well. Herrera stinks offensively, Wilmer stinks defensively, and DArnaud hasn't been hitting since his return (Plawecki not all season).

So if you want to argue any of the above, fine. But there's one undeniable fact about the New York Mets which should tell you just what kind of offensive team they have this season ...

Ruben Tejada has been the best player on this team.

That / is / ridiculous

god damn this game pissed me off tonight, what a PATHETIC 8th inning but is anyone suprised?

i really want to like Flores, i really do.. but when he makes bonehead moves, he makes it very hard. Feel for DeGrom tonight, sorry bud. happy birthday gift

This team is at a breaking point right now; mentally, not even close to there. (And Lagares needs to go, I mean demote this guy to Vegas tomorrow. He's just been so terrible all season long everywhere, I've had my fill).

Terry needs to figure out how to turn this around ASAP. This road record thing is getting ridiculous.
