It's been back and forth the last few days. Yesterday morning, I was losing by around 30 points, and this morning, I was leading by around 25 points. Now, we've been within 10 points of each other.
I have a feeling that I'm going to be the team who has like the second or third most total points in the league but one of the worst records when this year is over. |

Bye-bye Kyle Lohse. After 2 starts, I have -17 points from him. Need to drop someone to activate Chris Sale from the DL anyways (which I missed doing for his start today), so he is long gone. Luckily, I hold a 50-ish point lead against D2R, so missing out on Sale's start shouldn't hurt me this time around
For the record, it's Parmelee ![]()

Week 1 in the books, here's a breakdown of my team......really hoping my pitching improves.
Offense: Salvador Perez- 33 Points Corey Dickerson- 31 Points Alcides Escobar- 23 Points Lorenzo Cain- 22 Points J.D Martinez- 21 Points Albert Pujols- 16 Points Neil Walker- 14 Points Pedro Alvarez- 14 Points Kyle Seager- 11 Points Jay Bruce- 8 Points Tommy La Stella- 2 Points Billy Butler- 1 Point Starling Marte- -8 Points ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Really surprised that Sal Perez was my leading scorer, and Marte earned himself a bench spot until he starts hitting Pitching: Tyson Ross- 25 Points Fransico Liriano- 19 Points Michael Wacha- 18 Points Zach Britton- 16 Points Brandon McCarthy- 11 Points Tim Hudson- 10 Points Chris Tillman- 9 Points Madison Bumgarner- 8 Points Mark Melancon- 7 Points Andrew Cashner- -5 Points Dillon Gee- -6 Points Kendall Graveman- -16 Points I chanced it with Graveman after his good spring and I got burned......it also didn't help me that Bumgarner and Tillman got lit up in their second starts ![]() Really hoping my pitching straightens out. I have since dropped Gee but sill have Graveman, going to give him one more go around Bert Macklin: 1-0 on the year Sam's team made a valiant effort to come back, and if his team scored like they did at the end of the week in the beginning of the week, he no doubt would have beat me. I lucked out

Don't think he's been around much. Thought we would have heard from him more if he was

Good thing I had that monster start because all my starters fell apart the second time around. Big matchup with BamBam this week -- I'm worried because my best starters only get 1 start this week. I need my guys to start hitting!

Firerunner I like that summary of week 1, so I decided to do mine as well:
(Only points that count are when I had them starting) Batters Todd Frazier: 27 Carlos Gomez: 13 Justin Morneau: 12 Kole Calhoun: 10 Brian Dozier: 9 Joe Panik: 8 Carlos Ruiz: 7 Brandon Moss: 6 Anthony Rizzo: 3 Ian Desmond: 3 Jed Lowrie: 2 Pitchers Yordano Ventura: 37 Trevor Bauer: 29 Edinson Volquez: 27 Trevor Rosenthal: 26 Hector Rondon: 21 Collin McHugh: 18 AJ Burnett: 14 John Lackey: 5 Phil Hughes: 5 Nathan Eovaldi: 2 Kyle Lohse: -17.... I'm sure I've said this earlier, but I'm a bit surprised at how this has gone so far. Wouldn't have guessed that Rizzo and Desmond were in my bottom 3 batter scorers. Thought Frazier would have a great year, but wasn't expecting as hot of a start as he had. Pitchers have been a bit frusterating (Kyle Lohse...) but I have Chris Sale back now and dropped Lohse to make room for him. Either way, I'm 1-0 on the year and happy with week 1!

It's tempting, but not sure. I don't have much SP depth

Man what a frustrating start, JD Martinez and Pedro Alvarez hit HR's and got me points, but my love friggen Mark Melancon came in and got LIT UP in the 9th. He came in with a 5-1 lead to start the 9th and I figured it'd be an easy inning and easy points. Well he got toasted for a HR, two doubles and gave up 3 runs. Somehow he managed to get 3 outs and to hang on but dayum. He finished at -6 but it could have been a lot worse....

I'm thrilled with this league so far. It's been a blast, and I've basically kept a tab with this thread open 24/7 since things got rolling. Thanks again to all for joining and I hope you all are enjoying it as much as I am!

I'm having a blast, I always have the scoreboard up on my computer no matter what I'm doing at home. I really enjoy this type of head to head weekly league rather than just a points league that goes all season. If you get behind early in the year it's pointless (not sure what that's called). This is my favorite league Ive ever been in

I'm enjoying it as well. This league has also led me to watching non-Mets games to see how my players are doing. In past years, other games would bore me if they didn't involve the Mets, weren't a postseason game, or just wasn't a monumental game like a no hitter or someone hitting 4 HRs. This year, I am enjoying keeping track of my players from all teams and checking the scoreboard every hour to see how I'm doing.

DeGrom had a solid outing today, nothing spectacular and Perkins wasn't good. Need Abreu to step up this week.

Damn Brett Lawrie is making me go nuts. When I start him, he does absolutely nothing and sometimes even gets negative points. When I bench him, he gets hits and has 5+ point games. I don't know what to do anymore.
