Current value?

Just a smidge north of $8.5K

(the Heritage Chrome /569 is a True Gem)

Nice stuff, curious where you got the $8.5K number from though?

Crossover potential of the Heritage Chrome /569 true gem to PSA 10. Last PSA 10 sold for around $5K, more than a week ago (and that one, it should be pointed out, had not one, but two (maybe three) noticeable gashes/scratches on the top front of the slab)

There are currently only two PSA 10's on eBay right now. Priced at 10K each. One with 14 watchers. I'm conservatively pricing mine at around the 6.5K mark.

PSA 10's of 600 Heritage are going for $350-$400 a clip
PSA 10's of 49 Bowman are going for $250-$300 a clip

Averaging mine out to $375 for heritage and $275 for bowman

Most likely overvalues the Chrome refractor. Beckett 9.5 instead of PSA 10 really kills that card.

Best of luck crossing it over, I'd be hesitant with that T/B centering though. I'd think a true gem like that as is, would bring about $3500-4000 right now. Super sweet card!

Good call keeping the best one.

I actually had a 9 that I let another collector have since it was the last card he needed to complete the set - he had been looking for over a year with no luck. The next day, a raw fell into my lap and it gemmed. Karma putting in work

Perhaps. Last PSA 9 did $1600, I'd say a BGS 9.5 is in the middle of that and the last PSA 10 sales.

T/B is perfectly fine. I had two LCS's look it over independently with their loupes and both have assessed that it would be a strong candidate for a PSA 10 crossover, and I trust them both, one has been in the business since the 1990's, and the other has had great success re-subbing cards of similar grades/condition.

I guarantee if I listed it right now at 4K it would snap sell. It's worth more than $4K imho

Right on. It seems like the Heritage Chrome refractors really depends on the grader as far as centering, especially with PSA tightening down standards a bit lately.. Hoping you get the right guy and land a 10!

Yeah, trust me. I am a bit skittish when it comes to grades. It's just so dang inconsistent nowadays, it doesn't matter what the company is. As they say, buy the card, not the grade, but when it comes to Ohtani, all bets are off!

Thanks for the kind words. We'll see what happens! Will keep everyone posted if I go the re-sub route!

Comparing to the last sale is not currently valid unless the last sale was 5 minutes ago lol.

Did they tell you that they'd pay you PSA 10 price for it?

Luckily, I still have the Independence Day PSA 10 which I won't part with for a long time.
Not sure what the value of it is now, but I guess possibly over $30k or even $50k, though I'm obviously biased as the owner of the card myself.
Don't stress, we've all undersold at one point (relative to current/peak prices for a given card).

Hindsight is 20/20, no one could've predicted today's (or peak) prices for any trading card.

And the longer one's been in the hobby, the more they've left on the table.

On the bright side, you kept the Indy Day PSA 10. That's a HUGE win! I'm sure you paid nowhere close to what it's currently worth too (including, if you pack-pulled it).

I'm also sure you made out good at the time for the card, and possibly put some of those gains back into other cards/life experiences/expenses.

I'm curious where Beckett got an 8.5 centering for that card. Presents much better.

If PSA 10 BC /499 = 20K, that card "should" be 4K-5K at a minimum.

Valuations for numbered chrome shiny 18 gems is simply nutty.

Yeah I was frankly shocked it got a 8.5 centering. Back is well within 9 centering standards. Guess the top/bottom centering was too far off?

I haven't been told anything, but going off previous sales, and futures, I kinda have to assume the current blue-chip pricing will continue to rise like Apple stock in the 2000's
