Boone's explanation for starting Berti over Boone was the left handed starter. Granted Rizzo only hit .221 against lefties compared to .259 by Berti, but IMO, Rizzo's glove would have been much better in this game than Berti. It would probably only be 2-1 right now.

Maybe even 1-1 as on the other play he muffed Rizzo would’ve gotten the out at second and possibly the double play. Should’ve left well enough alone.

And once again mismanaging the bullpen why not let Kahnle start a clean inning. This loss is on Boone with the lineup switches and using the bullpen poorly. Obviously the bats are more to fault than anything Boone has done but they are giving Cleveland hope when they should’ve been out to bury them.
