This is true some of the time. I have submitted rejected cards in basic and select groups and in both situations, they go through. Other times they have rejected them again. The frustrating part is when I pay for select and cards go through with zero notices about damage.

You're probably right - at least partly. I don't think "most" would end up making it through but there are certainly many that would. If all cards are held to the "mint" standards these cards were then I need to reconsider how many cheaper cards I want to buy and submit for grading.

I badly want to send more stuff in just to get rid of it but the continued damages being posted as well as the fees involved have me concerned.

How long can they get away with saying their phone lines are down?

Thank you for answering this several days ago.

So they take 20% and you still have to pay the cash out fee as well? Seems like a lot.

It ends up being 36% overall of the initial value. I tend to buy cards with the money, so my fees end up being 0% most of the time.

This is what I do as well - at worst, I (essentially) trade dozens or hundreds of lower end cards for one big card. My problem is that I tell myself I am going to sell them myself here or at a local shop/show to save the money - but then can't pull the trigger to move them.

For PC items - this does make it easier to stomach paying above market for a card as well - I am more apt to spend 10% more on COMC to avoid the 20% cash-out fee - kind of a circular way of looking at things but it helps in the justification anyway.

The logo is foil. So if that makes it a foil, it looks like a foil.

Cool, that's what I was thinking, but it's hard to tell.

Got a 330 count BCW storage box but could only get about 180 cards inside. Anyone else have that issue?

I could only get 30 Museum patch cards in one. I think I’m going to file a false advertisement claim.

Haha well these are just regular Prizm base. Just seems weird to me.

Default All I want to do is talk about COMC

Haha, I’m joking. It’s 330 of the thinnest cards like Magic cards or topps base with no penny sleeves. I use 400 count boxes and usually get 100-300 cards in those for COMC shipments.

Yes. Had one that I noticed had been pending for what I thought was 2 weeks. When I contacted, they said it had actually been a month and and a issue prevented that tag from being lifted like it should have been.

Sorry, this may have been discussed somewhere in the previous 100+ pages, but I couldn't find it. I have about 400 cards to send in (two 200 ct boxes) and was curious if I should do the big medium flat rate box that holds close to 2000 cards or if I can get away with the flat rate padded envelope. Wouldn't card boxes possibly get crushed in the padded envelope?

Also, insurance is only $50 on the flat rate box/envelope, correct? Anyone purchase additional insurance?

I go with the medium flat rate boxes with card boxes inside and padding around the card boxes.

I'd expect a bunch of dinged corners if boxes were mailed in a padded envelope.

I do the 200 ct boxes, wrapped in bubble wrap, surrounded by packing peanuts in the flat rate box and never had an issue with damaged cards....I would definitely do something better than a padded envelope

Thanks for the replies, that’s kind of what I figured, was surprised to see a few older posts say they used the padded envelopes.

Any advice on if I should get extra insurance or do you think just the flat rate box? Granted I’m sending in mostly $1-2 cards but that adds up with 400 of them.

Good thing there is an area on here for you to SPAM your stuff, instead of in this thread where it doesn't belong.

Sometimes people get away with it because they actually have good sales that generate discussion. In this case......
