Torres strands Verdugo and we head to the 9th leading 5 - 2.

And Weaver strikes out Hedges (with umpire help) to close out the game.

Yankees win Game 1, 5 - 2.

And yet again, Torres ends the last Yankees at bat with Soto on deck...
How many times has he ended the Yankees last at bats ?

Hopefully he recovers from that 9th inning. He threw a lot more balls than usual.

Carlos Rodón controls emotions, Guardians as Yankees win Game 1

The Yankees need to have Pettitte come to spring training and teach all of the starting pitchers how to do his stare.

Thankfully, no injuries.

Still no hits with runners on. Not sure why we don't just leadoff Soto and bat Judge second

1-4 with a walk and a bullet out to first. Maybe blame the guys in front of him for making him come to the plate with 2 outs all the time.

Torres is doing a great job in the leadoff spot. Maybe they need to move Judge down and put Stanton behind Torres and Soto to get some runs in. It seems every playoff game, we have Torres and Soto get on base to start an inning and Judge does nothing; not even move them over.

Missed most of the game last night. We held off going out on Sunday for my wife’s birthday and went out last night. Was keeping up with it though. Rodon couldn’t have pitched much better.

Unfortunately they will never be worth that much and he hardly has any in a Yankees uniform.

Sucks that Thursday's game starts at 5:08 as I'll still be driving home from work.

According to Beckett, he has zero cards as a Yankee.

I would have thought Topps would have at least given him a Topps Now card last series for all of the innings and saves.

I think every fan was. I even posted at the beginning of the game a question as to which inning he would implode.
