i've seen bits of this movie and i want to reiterate that he's not joking guys, this movie is really messed up. Messed up in a "why would someone think it was okay to film this?" sort of way.

Normal Person Discretion Advised.

That said, I saw 10 Cloverfield Lane yesterday and it was fantastic, I loved the original Cloverfield, and this one was IMO, the perfect addition to the franchise.

Same for me. Heard how shocking it was and read plot on Wikipedia. Yeah, that's all I needed. No reason to put myself through that.

I went on youtube and typed it in and clicked on the first link. I thought I was watching the preview for it. It was the actual movie. I am a bit surprised youtube allows that. That is one way to start off your movie.

Wanted to bump this up and see if anyone watched the movie "The Invitation". Supposedly more of a thriller than horror, and I am about to head to New York for work this morning and decided to rent it for the flight.

Any reviews?

Pretty intense film, although I can't really go into much detail without spoiling the whole thing. I'll just say I was extremely entertained even though the last few minutes were a little illogical.

neither did I. However, i mentally saw Shyamalan show up at the end and say "what a twist!" like Robot Chicken has him doing repeatedly haha.

It felt a little drawn out but it was definitely one of M Night's better movies, not that that's saying a lot lol.

I watched a movie called The Devil's Hand a few weeks ago that was surprisingly good. It's set in an Amish community and and 6 girls were born on the 6th day of the 6th month and legend has it that unless they're all killed one of them will turn into the Anti-Christ on their 16th birthday. Kind of a weird plot but one of the better horror movies I've seen in a long time.

Just finished. Not a bad movie. I wouldn't recommend it to others, but not bad. It was pretty intense in some parts, the main guy character did a great job, but overall just an okay movie. Not upset I watched it.

Child rape? Not sure why anyone would wanna see a movie like that.

The Visit was hilarious and pretty freaky at times. I really enjoyed it, especially when Granny was under the house.

I personally enjoy most Horrors films that have been mentioned. Yet the movies that somewhat scare me and therefore prefer to watch during the day or with company always have some truth to them or a hidden message...

My Fav horror films -

The Conjuring
Insidious
Insidious II
Insidious 3
Mama

And these I would really put in the Horror Genre, but -

The Collector
The Mist
Pan's Labyrinth
Hills have eyes
The Gate
Krampus
The Haunting
28 Days of Night

A few more good ones:

Omen
Audition
Strangers
Frailty

Not great, but highly underrated:

Bless the Child
Legion
Darkness Falls
The Possession
No Vacancy
Lady in the Water
Don't be Afraid
Turistas
