You would be surprised how often friends will rat each other out for the almighty dollar.

The postal police is investigating and my friend is keeping me updated every day.
I think it will take a lots of time...but the main thing is to get back the cards, time doesn't matter!

Because I thought them could be get a better grade and we all know grading cards is like buy a lottery ticket...often a card that seems not in great condition can take a 9.5 and others mint cards reach a 8!!

Its pretty obvious who had the cards now.. If its sold to another dealer or person it would have pop up somewhere. But no the guy thinks hes smart and keep them all. And maybe ten years from now. When all the talks are gone. He will sell them. Enrico like i said your a good guy! I dont wish u goodluck. Bcoz we all know where the card is. I just wish badluck for the guy who stoled them.

the police are little to no help in situations like this in this situation. when i had all my stuff scammed by haiku and all the other involved they filed a report, and every email and call i made after that went on deaf ears. even when i had found some of the cards myself they still had no desire to act.

even called the police department where the cards were listed and they said they had to have my pd detective where the report was filed contact them to take any action.

good luck man, in my experience theyre overloaded(so they say) and cards are at the bottom of their list.

Here in italy a lots of situations work in this sense...only if you're politician or friend of someone influent you can get an efficient help from justice!!!

I feel terrible for you, and its clear that what you thought was a close friendship has you seeing this situation with a fair amount of delusion. Try and take a step back and look at all the events without any emotional connection, and see who benefits most from what has transpired.

a) Friend; Follow collector, fully aware of the value of these cards, other side of the world, next to no accountability if something goes wrong due to your trust in him

b) Postal Service: Highly unlikely they are aware of what the value of the package would be, risk to brand and reputational damage when service fails (hence the multiple check points involved when packages go from one country to another, all of which can be tracked), near impossible that the package would fall into the hands of an employee aware of the contents and then the value (especially since it wasn't insured or had the value declared so you could avoid import costs), who would not only take the package but would go to the effort to replace it with a dummy package with a microphone 1/10th of the weight that the original package should've been.



I don't mean to sound cold, and I really feel for you, it is a stomach punch and a half, but you really should've protected yourself by sending a handful of these items at a time getting them graded, returned and then sending another small batch. You really left yourself exposed by allowing such a large volume of high end stuff to be with this guy at one time and then okaying it all to be sent in one package rather than a few different packages giving him the perfect excuse to blame it on the postal system.

It seems highly unlikely that USPS switched the boxes and labels to send you a microphone and somehow knew what was in your box and what it was worth and risked committing a federal crime and going to jail on a whim.
