Well they're definitely not working on a First In, First Out system at this point in time. It's interesting to see the Bulk/No Subs order received on 3/8 and at QC on 3/29. I guess those are faster to turn around. I have a 55 card Bulk/Subs that they received on 2/26 that is still sitting in Scheduled For Grading. I completed the cataloging for them so that's not why.

BUT they still seems to be meeting timelines from when Received to Shipped. You may not like the delay in Check In time, but every company does that. So, it's not that uncommon. Item probably sits at the post office and then gets sent to a holding pen at the grading facility. They may not even check in packages every day.

I wonder if non-sub cards are graded by a different set of graders? If so, depending on how many staff there are for each type, that may make that particular line run faster or slower. Also, CSG's stated turnaround times state add five days for subs. No idea if that's even feasible, just a guess.

That one bulk example that was shared in this thread might be an anomaly or maybe the wrong service level was posted? I would be interested to hear of other examples if there are any. My most recent sub was for standard, economy, and bulk levels and after the fact I added sub grades to each. My bulk was delivered to them (along with the other 2 subs) on 3/9 and remains at "received" while the standard and economy have been at grading / qc since Friday.

Update on my economy order:

Status: Grading / Quality Control
Received: 3/5/21

(pray for some 10's)

I sent 5 of the same cards in to get graded as my first test. I thought at least 2 of them should be 10's but this is my first time grading so we will see how I did.

I didn't read the entire thread, but most of it - didn't really see this question asked; but which tier did you guys sign up for? What do you think is the best value?

I think the best value personally is one of the top 2. 150$ membership you get $150 credit to grade, so effectively net zero membership.

I personally went elite (299), because 100 cards at economy ($15) +10 % off gets you back the extra 150

I went basic. But I should have done the elite. I think i wanted to see how the returns were before I went up.

But I already sent in 200 cards, so I was dumb not buying the elite membership on my part.

the saving 10% on top of the Credit, seems worth it.

Just upgraded to elite. Will be sending more now.

The nice thing about CCG memberships is when you sign up for one you can submit to their sister companies also. NGC and CGC turn times for coins and comics are very reasonable compared to the plight us card enthusiasts have been facing recently.

I received my invoice and it says the charge will be today, does that mean they are close on completing it?

I thought it was mentioned in here, but what does it mean when the status of the submission is just blank? it went from grading to blank..

FYI - I have not received an invoice for this but I thought I completed all the info prior to submitting.

I believe CSG charges once it’s in grading phase

Thanks, I thought that was what I saw when I first submitted. With the other companies I have submitted to BGS charges right before grading, PSA at the very end and SGC you pay when you submit.

When my first sub went blank it didn’t revert back to a status until it was finalized - I think it took about 5 business days from when it went blank. I had two subs go blank on Monday so I am in the same boat as you.

The good thing about this is that they have given a very small amount of info as to how and what "AI" they might be using to analyze our cards. It's not just Jim sitting there with a light and magnifying glass. It seems that they have very tight size allowances and now we see they use at least a black light.

I’m a huge fan of articles / blog posts like this from grading companies. Grading is truly a service that needs transparency and scrutiny. Checks / balances.

Sent in a large order today using the quick submit for the bulk.

Honestly, it cost me a decent amount of money, but it’s so nice not having to spend a few hours listing cards. Especially with CSG’s difficult form.

Maybe they don't end up in the PO Box?
