Probably in terms of stats, but Mancini has him beat on storyline.

That would be a strong finish for him, all things considered. Between the knee surgeries, not really playing in Spring Training, battling Covid, and adjusting to playing the field more, he's done pretty well. With that said, he can do better. He's either going to have a big October or next season he will really put it on, I have no doubt a breakout is around the corner.

Yeah, Mancini definitely has the better story. This isn’t unlike the Ohtani-Vlad MVP race. In a normal year, Vlad would’ve been the hands-down favorite throughout the season (although he’s been slipping lately). But he’s up against this once-in-a-century dual performer who almost wins on story alone.

With Yordan, playing just two games the year before, then coming back as a premier power hitter would usually do it. But then Mancini, who’s having a pretty good season, practically wins on story alone.

The Bowman Chrome auto is severely underrated. He doesn’t have a base or regular refractor auto, so the blue is his most common. And I got it for 50% more than a Topps Chrome base auto. Of course, those are also amazing deals right now.

Been a while all, still hodling my yordans but nothing like some cards in this thread.
He had a rough patch the last two or three games where LOB was about 20 and that hurt.
Yordan has extremely hot streaks and cold streaks. If he can get the rhythm and pitchers actually throw him strikes, he will be the best.
With that said, I had to post this "strike out" from last night, was this angel?

So nice next to the black I already had. Got the blue and /125 in today. Problem with going for rainbows is you can't always get good deals. But it's alot of fun and the collection benefits.

Still sitting on this guy. His Bowman Chrome auto has continued to be undervalued. Atomic isn’t a signature color people target but I am a sucker for the cracked ice look.

My (aka Steamer's) projection for him starting the year was .278/42/111, so pretty close. He'll come just a bit short in the HR and basically hit the other two numbers. That projection is top 6, but as a final stat line more like #15. Now, imagine when he overproduces....even just a little like he's under producing just a little this year. We'll all be rich

Three in the last week have gone for over $100. That's where I want to be. This isn't a fire sale by any means. I have four (at least), got them cheap, and figured I'd add a little cash to the coffer if I can get the high price.

My typical game plan has been to shift it over to BIN when it doesn't sell, but that $135 has made me rethink. I'm going to drop the price by $1 (so I"m lower than the lowest BIN) and run it again and hope for an early bid. Then maybe I can be the recipient of a card that goes for more than the lowest BIN

I've avoided buying his flagship PSA 10s as in general I focused my buying on numbered etc., but I just scooped up 3x for $90 shipped. I know it's been said before but for the Series 1 PSA 10 to be at ~$30 is wild.

I have a few guys I will be going after hard over the offseason, Yordan being one of them for sure.

I just noticed the gap between his Flagship PSA 10 and his Heritage PSA 10 is awfully narrow. It has always surprised me that Flagship goes for more or is more desired given that Heritage is typically better quality and about 1/3 the print run.

Nobody likes dual player cards. Even the 2001 TT Ichiro/Pujols sells for less than their solo cards. I’d imagine that’s the reason that the Yordan (and Bichette) Heritage RCs are poorly regarded.

I don't dislike dual cards necessarily, just ones where the second player is nobody anyone wants. So that's covers all Heritage unfortunately. I love the Dynamic Duals Yordan/Luis Robert and the SSSP Topps Yordan/Robert/Bichette cards. Don't think I'll ever own one of the latter unfortunately.
