Verdugo 2-0 pitch and that’s the best you can do. Yes sit him for game 3.

They need shock collars so anytime they swing at the first pitch you electrocute them.

Idiot swings at the first pitch. This team is going to have to find some offense or else this series ends with the Royals winning 3 games to 1.

It’s the situations that they swing at the first pitch that bothers me. The relief pitcher just gave up a bomb let him have to think a little.

Rodon killed us. We scrap for a run, he gives it right back, then implodes. Against this team. Worst start since Aug 17. 162 million. Joke.

4 runs, they should win that game, but once again they can't hit.

Not somebody they should have used for game 2. Luis Gil was the better choice in my eyes the only problem is he might’ve been wild but he wouldn’t have imploded like Rodon most likely.

This is true also but for Rodon to be given the lead and give up that home run to Perez who was the first batter he faced that inning was demoralizing. I just don’t think any Yankees pitcher is trustworthy of pitching a big game. This wasn’t a must win game and they could’ve used anybody after the 5 days off. Hell they could’ve made it a bullpen game not that I like that option just throwing it out there.

He just pitched stupid in that spot, too. Got behind 2-0 and grooved one. To a power hitter. Just stupid. Don't give in....when he's sitting on it...how bout walk someone vs grooving pitches when you get behind? Zero walks.

Because he sees the Yankees hitters constantly screw up with 2-0 counts that he figures other teams will do the same. Like Verdugo and Volpe in the 9th especially Verdugo down 4-2 Verdugo your run means nothing try and get on base and bring the tying run up. And if he walks and Berti still gets his hit it’s first and third one out. But with Gleyber grounding to short on the first pitch the game probably ends on a double play anyway.

Boone it’s right in front of you, there are 2 beatable teams blocking your path to the World Series if you blow this opportunity I don’t want you back next year.

All 4 series tied at 1 game apiece how many go the distance I say 2 go the distance and 2 end in 4 games.

I trust Schmidt. The dude has what a 16 game streak+ with only giving up 3 runs or less in his starts? He's been our best pitcher. Gil is next. Rodon came out looking like he might by a Cy Young award winner and Perez's homer melted him away mentally.

That's what I want to know. As I said before the game, he had zero at bats against Ragan, so it wasn't his bat.

Miracle. At least he can say he's having a better series than Witt. One single and 2 walks isn't saying much though.

Boone is dead wrong for starting Stanton at all in these games.

His "top speed" is still slower than some old men. I believe they said he is the slowest runner in the AL.

Not sure how it's a crapshoot with his streak of games giving up 3 runs or less. He's technically been better and more consistent than Cole, Cortes, Rodon, and Stroman.

Jazz Chisholm’s homer doesn’t make up for his massive Yankees errors

https://nypost.com/2024/10/07/sports...ankees-errors/

Bound to happen when you play him at 3B and not his natural 2B position.
