Edit: The 6***a bidder who retracted apparently is a private feedback guy too. You see that after you click on their initials. Has 27 retractions recently and 41 in 6 months.

I had messaged Rick about it last night. Wish I knew the term Bid-Shielding before I messaged him but he's done auctions long enough to probably know of them. Not sure if he can or will do anything about it but I explained it well to him and he simply just messaged back thanks rick.

The ones I’ve seen drop credentials are mlb scouts, college and MiLB coaches, and an occasional pro player at a variety of levels

But I’m not sure what that has to do with anything...

Lots to do. There are lots of “hitting professionals” that teach hitting for a living, but the approach at the mlb level is often much different than what is taught at local businesses, club sports, high schools, colleges, etc so I always take what they say with a grain of salt.

Take a look at the backgrounds of all the hitting coaches for mlb clubs. Pretty interesting. There’s a reason you won’t see hitting coaches backgrounds coming from these disciplines.

Could be, makes sense given they are in the pros... with that said, I’m still it sure what this has to do with anything. I assumed there must be folks giving Acuna batting advice / suggesting what changes he needs to make... but I didn’t find that.

So... the lack of MLB batting coaches on here means ??? for us?

As a stand alone comment - nothing. In the context of the thread and your carefully inserted comment, it means forgive me for being skeptical of what someone states on a message board vs. instruction given with all the resources of the Atlanta Braves.

I always find it fascinating that one of the best franchises in baseball and all their resources can't figure out how to make Ronny strike out less, but if they would only come to Blowout and listen to one of the "hitting professionals" they could figure it out. Such a wasted opportunity.

In defense of the folks in this thread, I generally don’t see a lot of advice about how to improve his batting. Certainly frustration at a tough first game, but I’m pretty sure that is part of the enjoyment here: discussing what we are seeing. And wishes for things like fewer Ks (or consoling each other that he starts slow, or will get in rhythm). I’m not sure why that is so bad.

Honestly I’ve been missing this the most. With lack of baseball we’d gotten into a bit of a boring card hype cycle, and not really just enjoying our PC players
