I've purchased 99% of my stuff from Topps from week one, but bought more from a few sellers as well. I've had a similar thing happen to me, but often it was for buying a week or a lot/set of cards and seeing "look at photos for condition" or something like that, but yet I'm buying several sets, so obviously that doesn't apply with just one set pictured.

Back to your situation, I would definitely contact that seller, but you're correct, it's just better to hold and flip later, financially-speaking. If you were to return it, I suggest you go through Ebay to file the return and Ebay will send you you a free return label. Return shipping will come out of the seller's funds via Paypal.

Save for last weeks Acuna card I sell these 1 at a time...card you see is card you get. Best way for everyone I think...

Heard back from the seller and he said to return it and he would send me another one. As for the "GEM MINT" comments, no, I'm not only accepting PSA 10's. Several of the cards have white corners or edges and I'm not sending them back. I know these cards are condition sensitive. But getting a card that is really off center is different. Glad the seller is going to exchange it. If I had bought it straight from Topps ID be sending it to them for an exchange.

Might see an influx of listings on Ebay for these over the next couple of days. Most, if not all Ebay sellers have been given 5 listings that Ebay will only take a maximum of $10 in fees out of from the sale. In other words, if you were to list a set of 1-15 for $1,000 and sell it, Ebay would normally take $100 out of that in fees (a little less, $90, if you get the Top Rated Seller discount). Since with this offer, Ebay would only take $10 out of such a sale, the seller would be saving either $80 or $90 in fees (which just happens to be very close to what those 5 sets cost the savvy buyer who got them directly from Topps). Even if you sold one of the better cards alone for $300, you'd pay only $10 in fees as opposed to the normal $30 ($27 for Top Rated Sellers).

Like most eBay offers this one appears to be targeted to specific users. I don’t know how broad it is, but I didn’t get it.

Looks like the prices have cooled for the week 1 SPs as well as Happ, Markakis seems to be holding steady though.

Side note: I see some people selling these in one touches. I thought about putting all of mine in them for looks but after seeing how fragile these cards are, decided against it. I know everyone here knows this, but for those who may be reading, I would not recommend shipping any card in a one touch or magnetic case, but especially would not risk it with these as they are so flimsy/fragile. It's an accident waiting to happen on potentially a $100+ dollar card.

I think there's just a bit of glut from people cashing in on the bounce. I think we'll see prices recover and rise more slowly over the coming weeks as supply dries up and there's less incentive for quick buy & flips.

Totally agree about the one-touches. I've not bid or bought any that I see in one touches or in one case screw downs.
