Not really concerned about walks, more about WP, which I am astounded that he only has 3 (still tied for first with NL relievers). Thought he had 3 last night alone.

He did have 3 last night, which means through the first 54 games, he had 0. His control has been pristine so far this season.

Must win tonight for NYM. Get this one and then split the next two for a winning road trip.
Keep it up NY.

If they win tonight they're in first place. Hard to say that they're "falling apart". Gee to the pen has been discussed for years, Syndergaard was doing well enough that the Mets were able to go without Gee in the rotation. Their success (and some off days in the upcoming weeks) is what made the decision.

Some funny articles out there, read one for Aramis Ramiez. Doesn't quote .203/.250/.373/65 wRC+ stat line or what it would cost to get such an amazing replacement.

I want Josh Naylor. No clue if or when he'll be drafted, but the mets should take a chance on him.

Desmond Lindsay. Perfect Game 1st Team All-American, said to be a power bat with speed as well (6.56 60).
I like it. |

Hoping the guys are back for this weekend.
Joel Sherman of the New York Post writes the Mets may have been able to trade Gee for 3B Juan Uribe last month. However, they passed on the deal because they believed David Wright was close to returning at the time, and were comfortable with using Daniel Murphy there to buy them time for Wright to come back.

Reliever Bobby Parnell will pitch tonight for Class AA Binghamton and Collins said it should be his last game since his 30-day rehab window is set to expire today.
“I haven’t talked to anybody about anything else except if Bobby throws good tonight and the reports are good I don’t know what the next step is going to be, what Sandy (Alderson) is going to do and I don’t know how he would be effected,” Collins said. “We would certainly have to make a move so I don’t know yet what it would be because that has not been discussed.” .... Manager Terry Collins said he probably would not start d’Arnaud Wednesday if that’s the day he’s activated, but would expect him in the lineup the following day. He said the team needs d’Arnaud to help right away. “I think it’s important for him to get as many at bats there as he possibly can because we can’t have spring training. We’re in the hunt right now and we can’t afford to go 10 days, two weeks waiting til a guy gets ready,” Collins said before beginning an eight-game homestand. “We’re just hoping that he comes back and we know he’s obviously at a different level a lot of things are different but if he’s close then he’ll help us.” .... Infielder Dilson Herrera went 2-for-4 for Las Vegas on Tuesday and like d’Arnaud could be headed to New York as soon as Wednesday. It’s uncertain how much playing time would be available for him. “If Ruben (Tejada) is swinging like he’s swinging and Eric (Campbell) gets hot, I don’t know where Dilson’s gonna play,” Collins said. “We’ve got to be very careful, when we get these guys back they can help us, but when you start to break up something that’s working, I don’t think I’m going to do that right at this time. So we’ll wait to see what happens when he gets here.

Noah not living up to expectations so far this season ... giving up a ton of hits.
Blah. One more start and if he's not any better I send him back to LV for Matz.
