I honestly think we'll see a good drop by next week (if not this week already). Acuna's hype and the huge spike in prices of older sets brought a ton of new eyes to the set (as well as bigger orders from those already buying). When everyone sees that the margins of the earlier sets are probably not going to be seen again -- at least in the very near future -- it will calm down.

I'm like everyone else though -- what print run would be considered equilibrium for commons is anyone's guess. I have to think that that number will probably settle around 6k-7k, but again, I have no basis to make that assumption. The size of the collecting community that will adopt this as a premium, collectible set is still to be seen. But is sure is a fun case study to follow.

Ichiro announces retirement today effective immediately. Does Topps put one out now or wait till HoF announcement or induction for his TLS card?

Ichiro is not officially retiring yet.

“He is not retiring,” says Boggs (Ichiro's agent). “He’s taking on a different role for 2018, and 2019 has yet to evolve.” Asked by Rosenthal if Ichiro could potentially return to make an appearance next year, when the Mariners and A’s will kick off the 2019 season in Tokyo, Boggs replied: “There is always that possibility. … The future has yet to be determined.”

I bet he'll play in the opening series vs the A’s in Tokyo next year and then do some kind of final home game in Seattle.

But yea... Topps should put him in sooner rather than later.

Received about 10 living set cards I purchased off of ebay today. Several has a touch of white on the colored corner but I was kind of expecting that. The problem is the Rhys Hoskins card I received is off center left to right probably 70/30. The listing had a perfectly centered card but he has a bunch for sale. The price has doubled since I purchased the card. So, what now? I messaged the seller asking if he has a better copy of the card. They still have them for sale at the doubled price so I would expect they do its just getting them to do the exchange. I hate off center cards and this is one I was wanting to keep.

He should just offer you a full refund and happily pay return shipping

not much you can do other then return for a refund

but at $6 each, its better to hold then return

If I buy a card from a bulk seller, unless the card is damaged, I wouldn't ask to return it for off center.
Now, if I were buying it from an individual who pulled a bait and switch, that's a different story, though the outcome could be the same..

Like Mr Piazza said, if I were the seller and someone was unhappy w/ a card [that has doubled], I'll just offer a full refund + shipping cost and sell it to the next guy.

I found out about this set the 3rd week and decided to buy a lot of Judge since I figured it will eventually shoot up in price. I'm obviously no expert and just hoping for the best. My reasoning for buying so many is like you said... it's #1. Also, complete LS builders need it, Yankee team set builders (like me) need it, then there are Aaron Judge collectors and the 13,000+ doesn't seem as plentiful compared to Ohtani and now Acuna.

When his raw card is selling for $100 I will resurrect this post.

So if he is going to be working in the front office I have no idea how his agent thinks he will be coming back next year. If his card doesn't come out next week I doubt we will ever see it in the LS.

That's aggravating and unethical, whether the seller said that was the exact one or not. It's misleading to the buyer. Bait and switch, like one other poster said. I try to take quite a few pics of each card I list, for that reason. I want the buyers to see it all ahead of time to avoid issues. I also try to point out flaws, probably too much at times

I've purchased 99% of my stuff from Topps from week one, but bought more from a few sellers as well. I've had a similar thing happen to me, but often it was for buying a week or a lot/set of cards and seeing "look at photos for condition" or something like that, but yet I'm buying several sets, so obviously that doesn't apply with just one set pictured.

Back to your situation, I would definitely contact that seller, but you're correct, it's just better to hold and flip later, financially-speaking. If you were to return it, I suggest you go through Ebay to file the return and Ebay will send you you a free return label. Return shipping will come out of the seller's funds via Paypal.

Judge's card will definitely skyrocket over time. Let the water dry a little and the scarcity will impact the spending and the profits
